Which characters has been redrawn?

I'm looking through the KOF 2002 gallery at mmcafe.com at the moment, there seems to be alot of new sprites, i've found these so far.

Chang - Seems to be totally redrawn, looks cool for a change.

Kim - Has been totally redrawn for sure. Can't figure out if i like it or not.

Kensou - New sprite? Looks that way.

Athena - New costume, new sprite.

Please, go on... =)

IMHO, KOF 2002 seems to be shaping up very nice. Backgrounds look cool and the new sprites to.

Update

Takuma - New moves with fresh animations, looks cool.

Robert - New animations for sure.

Orochi team - All of them seem to be changed somewhat, but not much...?

from what ive gathered:

athena - new sprite
ryo - new sprite

kim,vice,orochi yashiro - shermie - chris = new stances,a few new frames here and there

orochi leona = ripped from 97

still not sure about iori

in 2001 they only changed his stance,taunt,and low A punch

who knows if this year they updated the rest of the moves and the frames

Iori's Face looks different to me. Same stance but check out his face.

When Playmore will cut the fucking hair of Benimaru ( joke! )?? He looks horrible! ( That's for sure! )

I guess that the characters that must be re-drawn are the Fatal Fury ones ( Except Andy, he already have a new costume ).

Nice thread. Serious game saga.

Dam, I feel stupid! I have played 2K1 only a few times and never really used Iori before in 2K1 so I didn't really notice. Sorry about that.

Roberts stance while doing the fire ball has changed,

Roberts jump CD looks different this year,

I wish they would change Ryo's stance back to AOF. I really don't like this "kung-fu" stance.... doesn't really match the karate art form, does it?

Glad to see his gear back. I just came from MMcafe, and I tell you I really REALLY enjoy the in game art. I think the art for the official site sucks, but the in game stuff looks nice as hell!

Damn it I love KOF.

what is a neutral stance? Just their normal stance?

A lot of things seemed to have changed, I really want to play this game now! I just hope the sprites ARE different for crying out loud...

yeah a neutral stance is a normal stance.


iori seems to have both his SDMs this year.

Joe has his double typhoon SDM from CvS 2.

Dude, that's what he's talking about.

His hair in the moves he just described. About 80% of his frames are the exact same hair (as everything else) from the past games. VERY LAZY.
