Mouse Master was over here in the Twin Cities this past weekend, and we were able to quickly put together fun gatherings over at Shadowland's and then a bigger group at CriterionRadioHead's place.

Participants: Shadowland, Mouse Master, Bobak!, Spike, Vincewy, CriterionRadioHead (plus his gamer g/f!).

Neo Games played: Mark of the Wolves, KOF 2k, KOF 2k1, Metal Slug 3, Real Bout 2, Last Blade 2, Samurai Shodown 2

Good times. We came up with a few T-Shirt proposals (basic slogans):

Neo-Geo.com: Come for the Games, Stay for the Drama (our favorite)

&

"I spend $300 on a video game."

We also learned that Shadowland is awfully good at a number of games. We also had a nice meet up over at the impressive Raven Games earlier in the day.

Overall a great time, can't wait 'til next time.

I still like your earlier idea. "Ask me how you can spend thousands of dollars on a single video game!" :D

Very nice idea too. Add a nice graphics/colours design and we've got our winning t-shirt for the contest.

I hope you post some funny photos of the Meeting soon. :)

Yeah it was pretty cool. It was totally an accident how it happened too. We just all sort of' converged over at my place and let the gaming begin.

There will defiantly be a bigger get together in the VERY NEAR future. I'm pretty certain that the next MN Neo party will be the biggest one yet. I'm thinking September 14th or the 21st, which ever one works out best for the most people. So let me know your thoughts and I will start the planing.

It was great seeing everybody again, and it's always a pleasure to meet new Neo fans. I can't wait for the next party.

That sounds like a good time. There needs to be a good phoenix gathering once at least! Maybe I'll go make a thread about that right now... :)

Man. Only two members from Alabama here. It would be badass to get a few members together for a bitchin' good round o' SS2.

Sorry guys-

I just had to post to make the forum main page return to normal size from the crazy fixed width the above post caused...

[edit] It worked... much better :) that was driving me nuts!

Yes sir...Ghengis was up there yesterday with his Super Nova. We played some SSIV, LB2, and some MS 3 goodness for most of the day...until I got my Sengoku 3 from Trieuminator, but that's another story. He'll be up there again today I believe...he's covering for Paul who's on vacation.

For those of you who don't know there are two Ghengis's in MN. One is a member of these boards and goes by the name of Trifecta...I believe he's in his teens and lives in Minneapolis. The other Ghengis works for a skateboard shop and (of course) is a skater himself. He once worked at gamestop with the current owner of Raven games, Paul. This Ghengis just turned 30. THEMAN inquiring about this Ghengis, I do believe.

Yeah guys, thanks for taking the time to meet up with me!

Raven was great, I wanted to get some games, especially those Brazillion TecToys Master System games, but I think it was wise I did not, since Northwest did manage to sheer 2 zippers off my baggage besides putting a huge crack in the other side of my suitcase! They put a crack on the one side on the way there, and its not old at all! US Air, America West, and Southwest never seem to be able to achieve those goals!

Thanks to Shadowland and Criterionradiohead for hosting us in their gaming palaces, Bobak and Vincewy for being my transportation, and Spike for showing up for some play (and we can't forget Michelle either, thanks!).

Criterionradiohead, I'll PM you some info from my Roller Coaster Road trip that we talked about in Perkins, so look out for it, I just need to get my act together and get settled.

Nah, I'm back in DC. Nothing wrong with the Twin Cities though, except family there! :)

Now, Northwest tried their hardest to keep me there. I swear we were on some truck driving through the woods, and not an airplane on the way back. It was an extremely rocky ride.
