I would offer that if maybe the people that frequent the board that complain about such things actually BOUGHT the new games that have come out via the Neo Store in the past, the pricing may have stayed flat.
The reality is, because new cart sales for the recent releases has been less than sold through, the quantities ordered have gone down. A smaller order means a higher per unit cost. Econ 101, folks.
With 3000 members, the only people to blame for higher prices on new carts is the user base. With 121 copies of MS4 and 223 of KoF 2001 (a marquee title) sitting in the Neo Store vault, why would a 500 unit order ever be placed again? Thus, orders are now down to 300 (I think) and per unit cost is up. It ain't hard to figure out.
And still, the idea is persisted by some that the Neo Store is making money hand over fist to the detriment of all the poor downtrodden Neo Fans of the world. Idiocy.
Ok, rant off, but I just find it annoying that not a single positive post on this board can be made without some form of belly aching being interjected into it. And no, I am not directing this at any one particular member, so no taking it personally, but on the whole, such is the practice here.
P.S. . . .I am really looking forward to seeing something as unique as a shirt coming with this really cool, new release. I have really enjoyed getting the bonus goodies with the latest string of releases from the Neo Store. They could be sold as collector items on eBay, yet they are not, and they are most certainly few of manufacture given the smaller scope of Neo nowadays. Thanks for the freebies. A fun bonus for getting something I would have gotten anyway.

Sorry if I seem bitchy. I'll buy a RotD shirt if it is offered, but an home cart will do nothing for me but sit there and look pretty.
