Most cool! Just came across this great news while browsing around in the Neostore!

If there was ever an incentive to buy your copy of ROTD through the Neostore, this is it!

All I have to say is that I'm going to place my preorder soon!!! :D :D :D

Where did you read that?
And something else... The price of the shirt compared to the price of the game is nothing!
Ok, If you already knew you would buy a copy of the game before reading that than I anderstand you prefer to buy it from the neostore but if not, than you are totally mad man lol.

Just read that too. Sounds great. :) Though, getting the ROTD poster will still be a bit of a trick.

Sounds good, but I hope we get to choose sizes. Asian-manufactured shirts can be tricky because the size scale is generally lower than US by a size or more.

Click on the Neo Store and look at the latest news. Here's the message pasted below:

8/06/02 More good news. Official Rage of the Dragons t-shirts will be arriving soon. These shirts will be sent to all preorder customers upon release of RotD AES.

Dammit. I've got MVS.

Can I order it, get the shirt, and return the game? :p

Perhaps us MVS folks could just order a Shirt?

Shawn could make a lot more cash that way, come on man, you know you wanna hook us MVS peeps up!

Peace

Don't mean to sound bitter, but there sure is a lot of WHINING about new cart prices. I would offer that if maybe the people that frequent the board that complain about such things actually BOUGHT the new games that have come out via the Neo Store in the past, the pricing may have stayed flat.

The reality is, because new cart sales for the recent releases has been less than sold through, the quantities ordered have gone down. A smaller order means a higher per unit cost. Econ 101, folks.

With 3000 members, the only people to blame for higher prices on new carts is the user base. With 121 copies of MS4 and 223 of KoF 2001 (a marquee title) sitting in the Neo Store vault, why would a 500 unit order ever be placed again? Thus, orders are now down to 300 (I think) and per unit cost is up. It ain't hard to figure out.

And still, the idea is persisted by some that the Neo Store is making money hand over fist to the detriment of all the poor downtrodden Neo Fans of the world. Idiocy.

Ok, rant off, but I just find it annoying that not a single positive post on this board can be made without some form of belly aching being interjected into it. And no, I am not directing this at any one particular member, so no taking it personally, but on the whole, such is the practice here.

P.S. . . .I am really looking forward to seeing something as unique as a shirt coming with this really cool, new release. I have really enjoyed getting the bonus goodies with the latest string of releases from the Neo Store. They could be sold as collector items on eBay, yet they are not, and they are most certainly few of manufacture given the smaller scope of Neo nowadays. Thanks for the freebies. A fun bonus for getting something I would have gotten anyway.

What was the release price of Mark of the Wolves?

Yeah. Seems $325 right to me. Not bad at all.

Hey I'm not trying to whine about new AES prices. In fact I'm surprized Shawn is letting them come out considering he has so much back stock of the "older" new releases. But I personally could care less about what they cost because I'll never buy one, I'm on MVS only. Not a bad thing. Just that the NeoStore has shirts for a new Neo game and I'd like to be able to purchase some w/o getting the cart.

I'm sure Shawn would make more cash that way, as lots of people here are MVS only.

Peace

Sorry if I seem bitchy. I'll buy a RotD shirt if it is offered, but an home cart will do nothing for me but sit there and look pretty.

I'm certainly not complaining. I think the free poster/flyer/shirts are an excellent value-added incentive. Those who have already placed their order get an unexpected gift and those who are looking to buy from NCSX or other retailer now have an added reason to buy directly from the Neostore!

You're straight MVS, right Jigen? That's my preferred method too. I like playing on the cab better than a tv. I need to start tracking down some of those recent MVS titles!

Right now, a cab. I've got all the parts sitting here for a supergun though.

Why not just get an AES and a Phantom Convertor? You get the best of both worlds...collectable AES carts and the option to play less expensive MVS titles! You can always get one of those XRGB convertors to output a better signal...

Hey I'd help build you one, but I ain't never letting my baby go! I put too much effort into building it to ever part with her.

But back on topic, I really want to see if its worth it to pick up ROTD. I'm tempted to get it, but it's at $220 for me to get a copy, which is still way too high for me to spend on a game I've never even played... :(
