As you probably know Capcom have been rivals
with SNK for a quite period of time. They both
have great 2-D beat em ups,but Capcom found
out the 3-D engines and took an advantage before SNK,but when GAROU Real ambition and
SS Fighter`s Rage went on a white world, there
are some doubts in my mind about who is the
king in making VS games.

I think you mean Garou:Wild Ambition and Samurai Shodown:Warriors Rage. Are you playing the PSX versions of these games? Wild Ambition is a so so conversion while PS Warriors Rage is a different game to the hyper 64 version.
But what about capcoms Final Fight Revenge? It was terrible even in the arcade. Also I don't think this belongs in news and rumors.

It is sure that Capcom have taken an advantage in front of SnK(in order to convince yourself, play SF ex3).But the size of the company is not the same and an other important thing is that SNK produce its own console.Capcom used all the platform but SNK was obliged to used its platform.Third thing, capcom bought a part of the SNK staff during the mid 90's

That is true Robert but also remember that a lot of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 developers went to SNK, which is why the Samurai Shodown series is so good.

First, let me begin by saying that this probably belongs in the Capcom vs. SNK forum.

In my eye, both Capcom and SNK a excellent game (and hardware) companies and trying to argue which is better is pointless because no two people have the exact same tastes. for that simple and often forgotten reason, neither company can be "better".

I will say that I personally like Capcom a little more overall, partially because they make a much wider variety of games. And when it comes to newer technology, Capcom definitely has the edge.

However, when it comes to fighters, my favorite genre, I'm undecided. When I first played Samurai Shodown II in an arcade, I thought it was the best game ever, and I still think it's one of the best games ever. On the same note, I have also played Street Fighter for countless hours, and I'm also a fan of Vampire, Megaman, Rival Schools, and Resident Evil.

One thing I don't like from *either* side is bashing the other. For some reason, and tell me if I'm wrong, it seems that people can only like one of the two companies. Why, I ask?

Neither. What's wrong with rating 'em both the same?

Hmm. I wonder where that popular BBS is at that only discusses CAPCOM related titles....
I'm fine with Capcom being King because SNK is IMMORTAL.

Capcom is a so-so company. They don't listen to the fans and most of the sequels now to most of there games, just aren't worth playing.
