Registration abuse: 2 members banned

A dozen or more bogus accounts have been created this evening and I have strong suspicions that kyoisthekof & Lord Wolfgang Krauser were creating these accounts. I find it odd that these two spam the same threads, flame the same people, both have posts mysteriously deleted, and their accounts hacks daily.

Instead of using email, icq, or private message, they both created many new accounts and post new topics to show their discontent. The boards have been cleaned, but this is more work than it’s worth for these two. The spam, flames, and accusations for the duo have been going on for days, if not weeks. I have suspended them both for now.

I didn’t start taking notes until the bogus registering became chronic:

Thanks for the upate and for all of the hard work that you put forth on this site.

Me, I was a Sysop for Compuserve's Video Games Forum for about 6 years and it always amazed me just how far some folks would go to try to ruin the place for everyone else. I particularly hated the month of June as we'd get a bunch of new potty mouthed, disruptive new members as soon as school let out. The flames and insults for no reason, the illegal uploads, the out of hand chats, it kept me busy to say the least. Unfortunatly, this would take valuable time away from doing the good stuff that kept the place alive and fresh with new content. I eventually retired from my gig over there as the forum was merged with another, lost its identity as well as most of the cool members. The merged forum was mostly PC stuff and the video game section sort of got lost in the shuffle. But enought about me... <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Shawn shouldn't have to deal with this shit all the time, and people should know better than to pull it!

Both Krauser and Kyo have their good points, and both are very entertaining posters!

Why the hell they have to push their luck to the limit is a bloody mystery!

Saddest part is, these boards will seem quiet without them!
I guess their are people who will see that as a plus, I, on the other hand will miss their good points and their bad!
Traffic has diminished around here recently as it is!
I doesn't help when people read more and more posts concerning "Civil Wars".

I know that "normal" spamming isn't really the issue here, but the suggestions people have made for a "Spam board" might be a good idea?
