Ok. I went and printed a couple inserts ealier today. Unfortunately, I think I printed my Real Bout insert too soon. After reading Trey's excellent advice, I just couldn't leave it alone. I went back to the regular insert (not the landscaped one) and basically redid the whole thing. Since I had all of the components, it actually went quite fast. In any case, it is a MUCH better, finished product than what I had shown before. But before that, here are the inserts that I printed.

My Real Bout landscaped insert.
Here's the Back of it.

Here's "Andy's"SenGoKu Insert.
And here's the Back.

As you may have noticed...I am a dumb ass. I was working so hard my own Real Bout insert that I forgot to resize the SenGoKu insert to the MVS case size. Oh well. Here's how they Line Up. I still need to get the Real Bout insert in there straight, obviously, but they seem to look pretty good. I'll just have to get another SenGoKu done up I guess. Oh well. Only $2.50.

Now, in regard to my Real Bout inserts, I have flip flopped. I now like the "normal" insert more than the landscape version. Thanks to "nick_," I went back and made major detail rennovations. The "Real Bout" logo is much larger on the cover, there are no halos on Geese or Terry and I removed one of the pics to feature Geese more prominantly. There are some basic graphic/layout additions as well. Here they are again. Which do you guys prefer?

Also, Big Bear, would you like to host either (or both) of these? I think that would be cool, but I have no idea how to get them to you. I do not have the server space to load them up for you to grab. If you only want one (if any) which do you want? LMK.

I am officially done with real Bout! This is fun! What next...? Maybe...Blazing Star?

PS...Since I am showing stuff, here is a Mark of the Wolves, MVS Spine Sticker I made about two months ago. I actually had to digitally remove one of the Kim brother's feet from Rock's hair! Man was that a pain! This is just the GIF, of course. The real file is a bit larger.

Your last two versions of the Real Bout insert are excellent, RyoGeo. Both really cool . . . I think I like the regular version a bit better, and I agree with removing one of the back pics to make Geese more viewable . . . outstanding job! Now if we could just find somewhere to host the new insert . . .

Mike...all it takes is a program like photshop and the patience to dumb through it as I have. I learned a LOT about the tool by creating these two versions. The next one I make will be MUCH easier simply because I have somewhat of an idea what I am doing and have found many shortcuts.

Give it a try! Even if your results suck, at least you are learning something cool and having a good time doing it.

I'm going to allow you guys to host them on the FTP. NOT a Problem...
I will e-mail you a password and account tomorrow so you may do.
GREAT work! I'm working out what the format should be also... I am thinking about goimg strictly EPS....what do you think?? If I used another format what should it be???
Give me some feedback as I will be making changes this morning...
I want to set things straight...then we move forward.

Format can be whatever. I will tell you that the EPS version of my Real Bouts are about 100MB. The PSD file (photoshop native) is about 34MB. Don't know why but they just are.

While I am working the files, they are in PSD mode. When I go to print them, I save as EPS from photoshop and then zip them to my zip disk. They squash down real good, that's for sure. From 100MB down to like 16MB when zipped.

Space is not a problem. If someone DL's an insert I want the m to do exactly what you are able to do. Put the file do a zip disk and compress it real good, take it to Kinkos and there DONE. Do your Inserts and the SHOCK TROOPERS insert created by Nick have the same
dimensions for the MVS case??

OFFICIAL SCANS are encouraged sized to fit the MVS case ONLY to discourage faking of home products.
Yeah.. we're going to go EPS ONLY for the MVS Inserts unless I hear another good alternative.
Thankyou-BB

The Shock insert was sized for a home cart, but I bumped it up to MVS size when I printed it. Also, it was designed with the newer snap cases in mind, thus it does not wrap as far around as, say, my Real Bout insert. Not such a big deal since it is a landscaped image, but other older inserts that were designed with snap cases in mind might be a LITTLE short. Not enough to worry about in my mind, but still maybe short.

For myself, I would probably just alter them anyway. For those that don't know how or don't want to, they would still look fine. Take a look at the space in this pic and you'll see what I mean.

Shock Front

Now look at Real Bout. There is a little difference, but hardly noticable.
