This doesnt look to good but its probally because king of the fighters hasnt changed much in 5 years.So heres the scores straight from Famitsu

The King of Fighters 2000 (Playmore) - 26 / 40


I still will play this religously Weird thing im getting Kof2000 for DC and Kof 2001 On MVS in the same week.Hopefully Kof 2001 on Dc will have a higher rating.And Kof 2002 on mvs aes later this year will add something new.Come on playmore where is Metal SLug 3 For Dreamcast or PS2?

i think kof 2000 deserves a higher rating than that even thou it is 2 years old lets hope they gaive it a much better rating than that when kof 2001 comes out but from what i have read from others on the fourms 2000 will probly be the better of the 2

The rating is pretty decent.I was expecting a 30/40 but oh well...
The game is drawing closer and closer to the release date.Its about 6 days away.
I can't wait to get my hands on this sucker.
Kof 2000 has the best pratice mode among all the KOF games.And the bringing back of some old stages from past SNK games are a cool addition along with the kof 2000 stages.

How much was MOW rated in Famitus? IIRC it was similar to this KOF2K rating.

their ratings dont really mean much(they do take them pretty seriously though).....

where's a good place to pre-order this game

of course if it is a big title mainstream game, or by a big company like Square... 38/40.

Eh, maybe it's me, but I always thought Famitsu did a good job rating games for the most part. There were times when I disagreed with their ratings like any other magazine. But they don't seem to be puffing the magic dragon like EGM does half the time.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick, you can tell because I said 'I'm not trying to sound like a dick', but who here has actually played KOF2k for the Dreamcast?

How about anyone who has read the review and not just seen the score?

The game could be plagued with lag, the sprites could be super jaggy...any number of things can be wrong with it.

Also you have to consider the whole Dreamcast library of figthers, that includes Soul Calibur, Capcom vs SNK 2 and...Guilty Gear X.

No one will jump up and proclaim 2k2 to be the best of the series and as far as Dreamcast fans would be concerned it probably wouldn't sit that well with those three up there visually or aurally.

Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is irrelevant, video games are like everything else in life; To most people, looks are important.

Beyond that Famitsu is on whole a fair scorer of all games and I'd sooner trust thier rankings than most US magazines who I've seen slam and bash games that when I've taken the time to play, I found to be fantastic (Wetrix for example rules all, didn't get one good review from anyone.).

I have always disliked the game and thought of it as the worst installment of the series so a low score comes as no surprise to me.

How about some impressions. How did the port to DC fare?? Also, is the game full screen? Garou had small but annoying borders, does KOF 2K?

Famistu = Only in Japan.

That means their scores don't mean shit to almost anyone in the U.S.
