King Of Fighters EX2 U.S. Release Aborted

Well, there go any chances of seeing this game here in the States (see "Product Notes" at the bottom of this link):

Methinks the lack of recognition of the King Of Fighters franchise in the mainstream market (coupled with the lousy sales of KOF EX: Neo Blood) is to blame for all of this.

Oh well, you could always import a japanese copy.... (At least you won't have to wait through an Acclaim logo when you turn the game on).

Why the hell did Playmore choose "Acklame" to port this any damn way, they couldn't just let Marvolus do it again!?!?!?!?!?

And as far as buyin' an import copy, there are some of us (that can't read Japanese...) that actually play the game for the story, just as much as the fightin'!! This really bites!! The game isnt THAT good. And there is basically no story that has anything to do with the rest of the games anyway.

You get 3 new shitty characters and an end boss. There arent any real ending either.

It is alot better than the first, but its still a peice of shit either way.

that sucks.
i bought the US kof ex1 and i m sitting on
like 2 jp versions of the game.
its definitely not up to par. but its decent.
ex2 i got to play. and that games alot better.
and can they blame the poor sales in the US for
the one released by sammy?
it was only available at gamestop for all i know.
i havent seen it at any other retailers and
when it did come out it was definitely a surprise
since they almost didnt bring it out.

Actually, its the best fighter on the GBA and actually feels like a KOF...unlike the first one, which was a piece of shit.

And that is what is important. Like Kid Aphex said, the first one didn't even feel like KOF. But you know what, I bought it anyway :rolleyes:

True, I got the lmited US version( thank you Chief ) and was siked to get the US version of the second one but nnnnnnnnnnnooooooooo acklame goes and says no one would want it, now I have to import the second one thanks for making stuff complicated acklame.....course the box art for the import is nice

I quite enjoy this one. It looks and plays really well IMO. Not bringing it to the US is weak. Street Fighter can dominate another venue I suppose. :rolleyes:

Man, that's really evil. I tell you, sometimes the industry must really hate me personally. I did the same thing. Was waiting on pins and needles for EX2 to come to the states, now this happens. The world doesn't want KOF in english or something? Oh well, it's back to having to import yet ANOTHER KOF. Makes me want to write some little comic about how people must go "underground" if they want to get any version of KOF, these days. "*Psst* You wanna get KOF?"
