On Buy Rite it says that the Sengoku 3 cart is coming September 10th. Is this for real?

I don't believe that it will be out that soon, keep an eye pealed here though, I am sure a release date will be announced before too long.

The release date should be October 26th (according to NCS).

Has anyone really put any serious play time into Sengoku 3? I'd like to buy it, but have reservations about buying one before I know whether or not it has serious replay value. Metal Slug 3 was a no-brainer purchase for me, but I'd like some more feedback about this one before plunking down another 3 bills.

I havent played it, but from what I've read, you had better be the type of person that really digs final fight/streets of rage type person to like this one. Very repetetive fighting, as all side scrolling fighters.

I reserved mine cause I love those games... sweet memories

I have put about and hour an 1/2 into the game and played till it finished. It is probably as replayable as the other side scrolling beat em up are. Such as mutatuion nation (bad example ) or sengoku 2. There are 6 characters you can use and 2 of them are bosses you can choose later on. Weather this will be different in the NGH version of the game I do not know. (if you can pick the 2 bosses from the get go). I assume for replayabilty you can try to finish it once with each character. I can not remember though if when I finished the game it had a character ending or a generic ending. I guess though the only why to tell is if you have a location to play it at try it yourself some more. I will get one just becuase I enjoyed the game and it is coming out on NGH format. Although I do not think I will play it as much as MS3.

It's a great game, really. It's WAY deeper than the previous Sengoku outings, and is graphically above any other side scroller in the market, retro or otherwise. I'm looking forward to when I get my reserved copy at NCS!
