Haven't seen anyone else attempt this yet, so here goes. This is my romanization of the <a href="http://www.h5.dion.ne.jp/~oke/rage_page/svc/img/move.jpg" target="_blank">location test movelist</a> for SVC. Unfortunately, the quality of the scan and/or the movelist itself make some portions difficult to read. Beelzebubble or Honeyman -- if either of you received a copy of this movelist at the location-test, could you provide us with a clearer / higher-resolution scan?

BTW, many thanks to both of you for your coverage of the location test!

The techniques in the darker rows of each chara's chart are Hissatsuwaza (literally, "sure-kill techniques;" aka "special moves"). Beneath these, in the white row(s) of each chart, is(are) each chara's "Level-1" Chou Hissatsuwaza / Super Combo. And beneath this(these), in the medium-tinted row(s), is(are) each chara's "Level-2" Chou Hissatsuwaza / Super Combo. Most of the charts list three Hissatsuwaza, one Lv1 CHSW, and one Lv2 CHSW -- the exceptions being Genjuro and Guile. Genjuro's only lists 2 HSW, because his Lv2 CHSW (Ikari Bakuhatsu ~ Issen) takes 2 rows to explain. Guile only needs 2 HSW rows, so he gets and extra row for his second Lv1 HSW. I've marked each Lv1 CHSW with a single asterisk (*), and each Lv2 CHSW with a double asterisk (**).

Alright, enough explanatory/introductory text. I'll post the romanization now, first with all the chara on the left side of the movelist, then all the chara on the right. I'll break this up into a couple of posts, should anyone wish to make quote replies.

Do you mean "the scan of the movelist was posted with the pics", or "a translation of the movelist was posted with the pics"? If someone else has already done a translation, I haven't seen it (hence, this thread).

I believe I'm reading the name of HSW#3 properly -- if so, this looks like a new technique for Mai (kochou no mai [dance of the lone butterfly]). BB or HM, can you confirm?

Sanrensatsu.....(236 + A or C) x3
* Uragokou.....236236 + A or C
** (1) Ikari Bakuhatsu...press ABC
** (2) Issen.....(during Ikari Bakuhatsu) press BCD

HSWs 1 & 2 come from his Shura (Slash) version; #3 from his Rasetsu (Bust) version. Ikari Bakuhatsu is more commonly referred to in English as the "rage explosion," with Issen usually being called the "flash attack" or "fatal slash" (depending on the FAQ-writer). I'm assuming that Ikari Bakuhatsu and Issen count as a single Lv2 CHSW when it comes to consuming Super Bar levels (since one can't have 4 levels in one's Super Bar) -- if this is correct, does the activation of Ikari Bakuhatsu cause the 2 levels to be consumed, or do the levels vanish when Issen is performed?

===== Shiki =====
Tenpourin.....623 + A or C
Tsuyuharai.....236 + A or C
Setsuna.....22 + A or B or C or D
* Tenma Hajun.....2141236 + A or C
** Shikishu.....2141236 + BD

HSWs 1 & 2 and the Lv1 CHSW come from her Shura (Slash) version; HSW #3 and the Lv2 CHSW from her Rasetsu (Bust) version.

===== Guile =====
Sonic Boom.....hold 4, 6 + A or C
Somersault Kick.....hold 2, 8 + B or D
* Somersault Strike.....hold 1, 319 + B or D
* Total Wipeout.....hold 4, 646 + B or D
** Sonic Hurricane.....hold 4, 646 + AC

===== Dhalsim =====
Yoga Fire.....236 + A or C
Yoga Flame.....63214 + A or C
Yoga Teleport.....623 or 421 + AC or BD
* Yoga Inferno.....236236 + A or C
** Yoga Legend.....236236 + B or D

BB and HM, it appears to me that the Lever-Button commands of nearly all the Lv2 CHSWs end with a pair of buttons -- either AC or BD. I noticed, however, that Yoga Legend does not. Since it's the last technique on Dhalsim's chart, I assumed it was his Lv2 CHSW and marked it with a double-asterisk. However, the medium-tint used for CAPCOM's Lv2 CHSW rows isn't nearly as visible as the medium-tint used for SNK's. This, coupled with the lack of a BD press at the end of Yoga Legend's command, makes me wonder if it's a Lv1 or a Lv2 CHSW. Can you shed some light on this, please?

===== M. Bison =====
Turn Punch.....hold AC or BD, then release
Dash Straight.....hold 4, 6 + A or C
Wild Smash.....hold 2, 8 + B or D
* Crazy Buffalo.....hold 4, 646 + A or C
** Ultimate Smash.....hold 1, 319 + BD

Is there a difference between the Turn Punch performed with AC and the Turn Punch performed with BD?

===== Gouki =====
Gou Hadouken.....236 + A or C
Gou Shouryuuken.....623 + A or C
Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku.....214 + B or D
* Messatsu Gou Hadou.....6321463214 + A or C
** Shungokusatsu.....A, A, 6, B, C

The movelist identifies HSW #3 as Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku, but Gouki's version of this technique has always been called Tatsumaki Zankuukyaku.

===== Hugo =====
Giant Palm Bomber.....214 + A or C
Moonsault Press.....(close) circle + A or C
Monster Lariat.....236 + B or D
* Hammer Mountain.....236236 + A or C
** Gigas Breaker.....(close) circle + AC

At last, Hugo with more than one Super Art at the same time (outside of the Dreamcast version).

===== Tabasa =====
Chakra Wave.....236 + A or C
Reverie Sword.....623 + A or C
Ascend Proof.....(close) 63214 + A or C
* Tri-Sickle Edge.....236236 + A or C
** Meteor Fall.....(close) 6321463214 + AC

Chakra Wave is the "globe on ground or in the air" that Beelzebubble mentioned on 6/6/03, 06:47am (in WAR-ZARD, the midair version was called (predictably enough) "Air Chakra Wave").
Reverie Sword is the technique BB recognized as her DP -- Tabasa crouches, summons a spinning sword from the earth; it spins and rises quickly in front of her as she leaps upward.
Ascend Proof was her normal P throw from WAR-ZARD.
BB also mentioned "an ice splinter from her palm." In WAR-ZARD, most of Tabasa's medium and strong punches involved an ice splinter (and her Lv1 CHSW, Tri-Sickle Edge, involved three big ones).
In WAR-ZARD, the "bird thing" BB mentioned appeared as part of her strong kick animations.
Jamming Ghost was the technique name for "the ghost which she can run up behind.".
The name of her Lv2 CHSW (Meteor Fall) makes it sound as if it's based on the Meteor Orb in WAR-ZARD.

from memory yes.

Having trouble making out the name of the Lv2 CHSW -- BB, is this his triple Haou Shikouken you mentioned (in your "loke test" post dated 6/6/03, 06:47 am)?
didnt get a chance to try it myself but i only ever saw him do the triple fireball so yes i would assume that is it... (i tried to do the standard takuma super but he doesnt have it :( )

I believe I'm reading the name of HSW#3 properly -- if so, this looks like a new technique for Mai (kochou no mai [dance of the lone butterfly]). BB or HM, can you confirm?
she has her fan from rb2, her air move (bounce and fall plus streak down so two air moves, her fan, flame spin and the new move which is the charge to dp style so yeah id say you are right on that one)

Having trouble making out the name of the Lv2 CHSW.
looks like three little black blobs on the handout too...

Mark of the Wolves:
Hissatsuwaza=Despiration Move...Right and since chou means super the chouhissatsuwaza is super despiration move. Just saying since it's been translated like that.
Hissatsuwaza [Sure-Kill Technique] is the Japanese classifier for what most English-speaking gamers call a "special move" -- for example, Guile's Sonic Boom and Somersault Kick, Joe Higashi's Hurricane Upper and Tiger Kick, Shiranui Mai's Kachousen and Hissatsu Shinobibachi, etc. Typically, the Lever-Button commands for most Hissatsuwaza are fairly simple, and they usually don't cost any "super gauge" energy/levels to perform.

Chou Hissatsuwaza [Super Sure-Kill Technique] is the Japanese classifier for what most English-speaking gamers call a "super combo" or a "desperation move" (DM) -- for example, Guile's Total Wipeout and Somersault Strike, Joe Higashi's Screw Upper and Bakuretsu Hurricane Tiger Kakato, Shiranui Mai's Mizudori no Mai and Chou Hissatsu Shinobibachi, etc. Typically, the Lever-Button commands for most Chou Hissatsuwaza are more complex, and they usually cost at least one "super gauge" energy/level to perform.

What most English speakers refer to as a "super desperation move" (SDM), the Japanese classify as a MAX Chou Hissatsuwaza [MAX Super Sure-Kill Technique] (or a Level-3 Super Combo, in the case of certain CAPCOM games) -- for example, Guile's Sonic Hurricane, Joe Higashi's Double Cyclone Upper, etc. Typically, the Lever-Button commands for most MAX Chou Hissatsuwaza are more complex, and they usually can only be performed when the character's "super gauge" is filled to its MAX level (performing a MAX Chou Hissatsuwaza will usually empty a MAXed "super gauge").

Special Move = Hissatsuwaza
DM = Chou Hissatsuwaza
SDM = MAX Chou Hissatsuwaza

According to Beelzebubble's description, the SVC Chaos "super gauge" has 3 levels. DMs cost 1 level of this gauge to perform, and SDMs cost 2 levels. Since we haven't seen any SDMs that can only be performed when the gauge is at Level 3, I was hesitant to classify things like Sonic Hurricane as a "MAX Chou Hissatsuwaza." Therefore, I've classified each character's DMs and SDMs as "Level-1 Chou Hissatsuwaza" (Lv1 CHSW) and "Level-2 Chou Hissatsuwaza" (Lv2 CHSW). So, for purposes of my translation, you could think of it like this:

Special Move = Hissatsuwaza (HSW)
DM = Level-1 Chou Hissatsuwaza (Lv1 CHSW) - marked with 1 asterisk (*)
SDM = Level-2 Chou Hissatsuwaza (Lv2 CHSW) - marked with 2 asterisks (**)
Mark of the Wolves:
Anyway I though Terry had the Buster Wolf? Atleast thats what someone said.
Yeah, Beelzebubble reported that Terry has Buster Wolf. The only reason it doesn't appear in my posts in this thread is because it isn't listed on the <a href="http://www.h5.dion.ne.jp/~oke/rage_page/svc/img/move.jpg" target="_blank">location-test movelist</a>.
dredgulus:
I have one question? Does everyone have all there supers or just what is listed?
All I've done is romanize the movelist that was handed out at the location-test. This movelist only provides a few moves per character -- not his/her entire moveset. Whether or not every character will have every technique they had in recent installments of KOF, SF, etc. remains to be seen. Sometime in the next few weeks, we should see a more complete movelist from Playmore, and of course Arcadia should have an SVC guidebook on the market before the end of August (if not sooner).

<a href="http://www.interq.or.jp/www1/893/svc.html" target="_blank">The site</a> that Amix linked to last week has been putting together a more set of detailed movelists over the course of the playtest. In the next string of posts, I'll attempt to romanize their movelists. Afterward, I'll include a summary of the game's systems/features, as I understand them (based on the aforementioned website, and Beelzebubble's invaluable updates on the location test).

all Lever-directions are given assuming the character is facing the right side of the screen
all Lever-directions are given as numeric values (look at the number-pad at the right edge of your keyboard)
examples: 2 = down, 6 = right (forward), 3 = lower-right (down-forward), 236 = D-DF-F (aka, Quarter-Circle Forward - QCF)

8 = Vertical Jump
7 = Diagonal Jump, Backward
9 = Diagonal Jump, Forward
6 = walk Forward
4 = walk Backward
1 or 2 or 3 = crouch
4 (when attacked) = Standing Guard
1 (when attacked) = Crouching Guard
5 = Lever-Neutral

A = Weak Punch
B = Weak Kick
C = Strong Punch
D = Strong Kick

Front Ground Step.....quickly tap 66
Back Step.....quickly tap 44
Guard Cancel Ground Step.....(while Guarding) quickly tap 66, or press BC [this will consume a portion of your GPG; the GPG must be at Lv1 or higher to perform GCGS]
Guard Cancel Attack.....(while Guarding) press CD [this will consume a portion of your GPG; the GPG must be at Lv1 or higher to perform GC Attack]; GC Attacks inflict no actual damage
Normal Throw.....press AB or CD [if you perform a Throw Evasion, the level of your GPG will decrease slightly]
Safe Landing.....when your character hits the ground, press AB to have him recover immediately
Taunt.....press Start

Front Ground Step
This is essentially a short Dash, however, your character's forward movement can be cancelled at any time by performing an attack. If your GPG is at Lv1 or higher, you can perform a Guard Cancel Ground Step (see above).

Life Gauge
The Life Gauge is found at the top of the screen. It empties slightly each time your character is hit, or Guards against powerful attacks. The Life Gauge has 2 colored layers. The first layer is yellow; the second layer is red. As the yellow layer is depleted, the red layer becomes visible beneath it. When the yellow layer is entirely depleted, your character's name will begin flashing (to remind you that your life is at 50% of less -- one of the requirements for performing an EXCEED (see below)). When the red layer is entirely depleted, your character will be KO'd and your opponent will win the Round.

Guard Crush Gauge
The Guard Crush Gauge is found just below the Life Gauge. It empties slightly each time your character Guards against an opponent's attack. Just before the Guard Crush Gauge is entirely depleted, your character's body will flash briefly (to warn you that your Guard is close to being broken). If the Guard Crush Gauge is entirely depleted, your character's Guard will be Crushed (broken), allowing your opponent's attack to hit for its normal damage.

Groove Power Gauge
The Groove Power Gauge (GPG) is found at the bottom of the screen. It fills as you attack your opponent, or Guard against his attacks. The GPG is divided into 3 power levels. At the start of Round 1, the GPG is at Lv1. The level of the GPG will carry over from round to round. At the start of a new match, however, it resets to Lv1. The color of the GPG indicates its current level:

Lv0 = Blue
Lv1 = Green
Lv2 = Orange
MAX = Purple

When the GPG reach MAX (Level 3), it changes to a timer gauge. When the timer gauge runs out, it changes back to the GPG (which will be at Lv2). If the current round ends while your timer gauge is active, you will begin the next round (if the match has not yet concluded) with your GPG at Lv2.
The following actions are available at the different GPG levels:

Lv1 = Chou Hissatsuwaza, Guard Cancel Front Step, Guard Cancel Attack
Lv2 = Chou Hissatsuwaza, Guard Cancel Front Step, Guard Cancel Attack
MAX = Chou Hissatsuwaza, Guard Cancel Front Step, Guard Cancel Attack, and "Doko demo Cancel" [Cancel Anywhere]

Doko demo Cancel allows normally uncancellable attacks to cancel into others. For example, with Iori:
Kototsuki In (1-Hit) > Strong Oniyaki (1-Hit) > Kototsuki In....
Each time you perform a Doko demo Cancel, it will reduce the current level of the timer gauge slightly

At Lv1 or Lv2...
A Chou Hissatsuwaza costs 1 level of the GPG to perform
A GC Front Step costs roughly 1/2 a level of the GPG to perform (however, the GPG must be at Lv1 or higher to perform a GCFS)
A GC Attack costs roughly 1/2 a level of the GPG to perform (however, the GPG must be at Lv1 or higher to perform a GCA)

At MAX...
A Chou Hissatsuwaza will reduce the current level of the timer gauge slightly
Each time you perform a Doko demo Cancel, it will reduce the current level of the timer gauge slightly

Hissatsuwaza [Sure-Kill Technique].....usually called "special moves" by English speakers, Hissatsuwaza are techniques (such as Ryu's "Hadouken," Guile's "Somersault Kick," Terry's "Power Dunk," and Joe's "Hurricane Upper") that require a simple Lever-Command + Button combination (such as 236 + A or C) to execute. An Hissatsuwaza will not reduce the GPG level when performed.

Chou Hissatsuwaza [Super Sure-Kill Technique].....usually called "desperation moves" [DM] or "super combos" by English speakers, Chou Hissatsuwaza are more powerful techniques (such as Ryu's "Shinkuu Hadouken," Guile's "Somersault Strike," Terry's "Power Geyser," and Joe's "Screw Upper") that require a more complex Lever-Command + Button combination (such as 236236 + AC or 2141236 + BD) to execute. A Chou Hissatsuwaza will reduce the GPG by 1 level when performed.
On the movelists for each character, Chou Hissatsuwaza are marked with an asterisk ( * ) before their names.

EXCEED.....similar to the KOF Series' "MAX Chou Hissatsuwaza" (usually called "super desperation moves" [SDM] by English speakers), an EXCEED is an even more powerful technique that requires a more complex Lever-Button + Button combination to execute. However, the conditions that must exist to allow an EXCEED to be performed are slightly different. Your life gauge must be at 50% or less (i.e., only the red portion of your life gauge remains), and your GPG must be at Lv1 or higher. Your character's name will stop flashing when the EXCEED is performed. You may only perform an EXCEED once during a match.
On the movelists for each character, EXCEEDs are marked with a double asterisk ( ** ) before their names.

Victory Marks:
Different Victory Marks will be awarded, based on the conditions under which a Round ends.
V (blue) = Time Up
V (green) = Normal Victory, ending with a Normal Attack (punch, kick, etc.) or Normal Throw
V (red) = Perfect Victory, ending with a Normal Attack (punch, kick, etc.) or Normal Throw
D (blue) = Double KO (Normal Attack)
D (green) = Double KO (Hissatsuwaza)
S (green) = Normal Victory, ending with an Hissatsuwaza
S (black) = Normal Victory, ending with Hissatsuwaza tick-damage / chip-damage
S (red) = Perfect Victory, ending with an Hissatsuwaza
S+ (green) = Normal Victory, ending with a Chou Hissatsuwaza
S+ (black) = Normal Victory, ending with Chou Hissatsuwaza tick-damage / chip-damage
S+ (red) = Perfect Victory, ending with a Chou Hissatsuwaza
Ex (green) = EXCEED

Order of CPU opponents (at the location test -- this may be altered for the final release on 7/20/2003):
Match 1: one of the normally-selectable characters, chosen at random
Match 2: one of the normally-selectable characters, chosen at random
Match 3: one of the normally-selectable characters, chosen at random
Match 4: one of 4 CPU-only characters, chosen based on your performance in Matches 1-3
Match 5: one of the normally-selectable characters, chosen at random
Match 6: one of the normally-selectable characters, chosen at random
Match 7: either Bousou Iori or Orochi Ken, chosen at random
Match 8: either Shin Gouki or Shin Karate, chosen at random

At this time, no conclusions have been drawn regarding the performance requirements required during Matches 1-3 to trigger the appearance of one CPU-only mid-boss over another. However, the total time required to clear Matches 1-3 appears to be a possible factor.

Other miscellaneous notes:
* At this time there appear to be only 2 colors per character
* It is possible to be "dizzied" by suffering many hits in a short period of time
* In a match vs the CPU, a Double KO = Game Over
* Before each match, the Stage Name is displayed in English, followed by a brief text dialogue between the 2 characters
* At the start of Round 1, the phrase "Play in Real Earnest" is displayed; at the start of Round 2, "You Can't Escape!!"
* At the Chara Select screen, hold Start to access the roulette select function
* If the opponent's life gauge is depleted due to "tick damage" / "chip damage," he will slump to his knees before falling prone (a la SFIII)
* The game features Jumps and Super Jumps (but no Short Jumps)

@Beelzebubble and Honeyman:

Once again, many thanks to you both for your reports from the location test. If you notice any errors in my summation of the game, please give me a heads-up and I'll edit promptly. Many thanks once again for all your efforts! :)
