While the announcement of Sports Jam is a bit surprising from Agetec, this isn't the first time Agetec has published an SNK game like Last Blade 2 for the Dreamcast. When asked if they would be bringing out Mark Of The Wolves for the Dreamcast, a representative at Agetec said it would be possible but it also depends on the Dreamcast software market later this year. We'll be back with a full preview of both games this week.

We'll see what happens then. You can bet you will never ever see a UK version.

Dark Guy, people like you are the reason why we probably wont see the release. Who cares if you have the rom, you cant spend 40$ to buy a REAL version of the game and support the companies that will later on release more great games that we normally wouldnt see in the states. Use your head man.

Exactly. Okay, I'll accept the argument that the AES cart is too expensive. I'll also accept the argument that an !Arcade! converter plus the MVS cart is still a little steep.

But if you can't pop $40 for the DC release... that's just low. If you like the damn game, show some support to the companies that made the game, and brought it to you.

I mean hell, you don't even have to import it. Minimal effort involved.

Additionally, your ROM is the Beta release and is missing stuff from the real deal. Like endings for example.

Food for thought.

Yes, the ROM in MAME/NeoRage does suck. No endings and the text is misplaced...backgrounds are scrambled...shall I go on? True, it would be great if we all could afford to pay $700-800 for the US AES or $500 for the MVS and Arcade! converter...but, I imagine MOST of us can't. I really really hope that Garou: MOTW gets released on Dreamcast. If it doesn't get released here, I will surely import it...and I bet there will be others who'll do the same thing.

The article was on dc.ign.com somewhere. I will be interested in the preview of the game.

I also have the MOTW ROM. Its fun to play but it is not worth anything you can 'see' the true game as in the Cart \ CD and the packaging. I will be buying the JAP version when it is released. I may even buy it on cart if I get a Cart machine.

I have the MVS version but if a US Dreamcast version comes out I will grab that as well. Speaking of which...

Any news on the rumored 2 extra characters?

Hell, I own the US home cart for MOTW and I'll STILL buy the DC version when it comes out .

Two extra characters? Anybody know more about this? It's the first I've heard of it. Any hope for Andy and Joe or maybe Krauser and Nightmare Geese ?

The rumor occurred in one of the announcements for the Dreamcast release, I forget which one. We were arguing in the forums for awhile about whether they were putting in new people or just putting the bosses in the selection menu.

Buyrite has a description link for the Dreamcast release below which makes no mention of extras, but it looks like it's just a retooled version of the Neo Geo webpage, so who knows?

This attitude clearly demonstrates why some of us hate emus.

It doesn't cost much for the DC version. You get a better experience and help support the company.

I am definitely hoping it comes out.

I will definitly pick up a copy of it. I have the Home cart as well but if it makes it to US shores I will most definitly pick it up on release.

I have the MVS cart but will ABSOLUTELY pick up the DC version when it shows up. I just bought KoF: Evo last week even though I already have the cart of KoF '99 cart just to get a look at it and show Agetec that it's worth it to bring these great titles over.

I hear that the LB on DC has some extra goodies on it, which is worth it for thath alone. I picked up a copy of MSX on PSX for the same reasons.

MAN, I got a lotta buyin' to do! All these cool shooters for DC, LB2 on the way, MOTW, an import of CvS2...good lord! What a great couple of months for DC! Dead system...ha!

Oh, and BTW...Dark Guy, why don't you pull your thumb out of your ass and actually do something to make sure there are actually games to buy. YOU are why companies like Agetec have a hard time making it. And you know what? I'll bet you don't even care. ...dick.

How come this stupid "Darkguy" is spending time with real Neo Freaks?

Fuck you darkguy, if you have a rom then go sit in front of your PC and stick your mouse deep inside your pirate asshole.

Fuckers like you make companies die.
Get out of the forums you cheap-pirate-pseudo-gamer.

FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really though, who cares if it comes to the US or not? It's a fighting game, and in this case an SNK fighting game. Hell 99 DM import even has english built in!

I won't be missing out on anything if it doesn't come here, since I'll be getting the import anyways.

If companies would wake up, and release a fighter in america the same time as japan, the sales would be bigger, and i'd buy them.

Waiting 4-6 monthes for the US version of say Alpha 3 on DC, it's a fighting game, and taking that long to translate a few text endings is ridiculous.

Import MOTWs, if it doesn't come here don't whine, it's not like it was a blockbuster game in the arcades here, pretty much no one outside of a neo fan knows what it is

I agree Caris. Import fighters are no problem for me either. I also agree with your asessment on the time taken to import a fighter. What a joke. The translation effort on the code itself should take no longer than a week (in order to get the text right and then insert it into the game).

The manual will, of course, take a little longer, but months...no way. Any sale a company looses to an importer is deserved. Lazy, lazy, lazy.

Personally I hate emul and I've seen so many people got pissed at you. Yeah, it's about time for you to get a real life instead of jerking off in front of PC rom version of MOTW. Too bad to see someone like you making stupid comment regarding gaming.

You're not a true gamer......get lost.

After a text change, games need to be recompiled. Which means atleast a sanity test matrix needs to be developed to test the game to make sure nothing broke in the change. These tests could take anywhere from 6 - 12 weeks. Then once the product goes STM, it must be manufactured and STC *shipped to customer. This all takes a lot of time. And frankly most teams in the US are working on many titles at once. This is the reason there is a delay in the releases.

Does anybody know if the DC version will have revamped graphics (ala KoF Evo) and keep the high frame rate for the moves?

This is one reason why companies are lazy. If they would release a big fighter like CvsSNK 2 in the US and Japan at the same time, or slightly after it would make sales go up.

They could make both versions of the game at the same time, instead of being wussies and waiting to see how the japanese one will sell. In the process losing potential US customers to the import version, since their sick of waiting.

SNK is a fine example, they put multi language in most all their games, as well as the console version. Even though the US versions didnt come out till some time after, the imports were identical.

All those naomi games like power stone that hit the DC after JUST coming out in the arcades 2 weeks before was amazing, why cant they do the same with US japan releases? The USA is a much bigger market than japan, USA makes devlopers far more money than japan these days, I think its about time we got the games first (As in DOA's case on DC) or at the same time.

The old days of waiting a half a year for the US version are BS, until they change I will import every chance I get.

SNK is the perfect example in my eyes on how to release games on the home formats. As Everyone know with Neogeo, Neogeo CD and Neogeo Pocket all the software released works in all contries. And 95+% have both japanese and English in the games. Surly this is the way forward not the direction Sony seem to take in having reigons.

I am not bothered where my games come from (almost all games I get now are imports) why should I wait 6 months for it? Thats somthig SNK never made its Console owners around the world do.

Don't forget about Big N. All their consoles are region free but just requires convertor.

I love SNK and Big N~~~
