That's actually not a bad question, if you think about this:

Wouldn't it be cool to take a non-released cart like Shock Troopers, which has been dumped, copy the dumped ROMs to a CDR in the right format, and run the game on the Neo CD system? Might breathe some life into the Neo CD . . .

It would certainly be a good idea. Like a small CD player that would plug into the cartridge slot.

Girls, wouldn't it be cheaper to purchase a original Neo Geo CD instead of an even more ugly peripheral?

I'd rather see a Neo-Geo CDZ II from !Arcade!. A NGH-to-CD converter would look UGLY AS SIN ( Jackal gets horrid visions of the Genesis with the 32x slapped on top of it )

CD-Rom drives have come down some in price since 1994, and so has RAM. AFAIK, the original NGCDZ cost so much due to its 7 Megabytes RAM at the 1994 price. I wonder what it would cost in 2001 to produce a NGCDZ spec machine with a 24x CD-ROM drive?

24x would mean this- it'd take maybe a second or two to load a level of Pulstar, and you could kiss goodbye the load times of Last Blade 2 or KOF'99.
