God I hope they made the animation like in MOTW. The gameplay is already solid, they just need better GFX to attract more people at the arcades.
Imagine that, a developer having great gameplay and not graphics. That's a nice change of pace over what we have coming out on "modern" consoles right now.

Seriously though, not SNK produced, and frankly its damn troubling.
As far as characters go, they BETTER not superhero'ize, are beloved SNK characters, that's unlikely anyway.

It's not as if SNK was completely divorced from the process of making the game... I expect we'll see the same solid gameplay, with maybe a few elements thrown out and some new ones added in their place, along with some new takes on the characters, but I don't expect anything drastic. If my understanding is correct, Eolith did most of the producing, but not as much creating.
When I first heard the news that SNK will not produce this game, my interest died in a heartbeat.
You give a masterpiece game serie to a rookie and the result will be crap. There were even times I wished that Capcom should step in and take over the damn project.
I think it would be better if this Eolith came up with a fighting game of their own instead.

Yeh, Akira did the intire EX series but I can only blame myself for not stoping them before they unleashed that undiscribable pain on the world!

I thought some of the new characters were interesting, beyond the normal capcom characters (Doctrine Dark, Allan Snider.) I always liked and am partial to the neo because I like the edgier characters in Kof and Fatal Fury of course. Terry and the gang are so much cooler.

Not to nit pick, but it is Arika that did the EX series, not Akira. And SFEX 3 is the only reason to own a PS2. It's the only game I have for that $h!tty system. Once you get past the graphics its actually a very solid game.
Anyway back to the subject, all I can say is lets hope for the best. I would love to have another GOOD (emphasis on GOOD) KoF to add to my collection. We should all pray, I mean it can't hurt ya know. ^_^

Anyway, I have the system and don't have a game for it. I have had for 4 months for the second time after I sold my first in December. Madden is good, but I am partial to giving Sega NFL 2k2 all the money I can. Klonoa is cool but I haven't beat the first. If I remember correctly, I thought I read somewhere that SNK was co-developing it with Eolith. Either way, I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
I can't wait, there's too many questions. Like who's this new characters & hero? A kid, Rock Howard or a completely new one? Who's in & who's out? Let's hope they do better than SNK, the last 2 ones were a joke.

5 are edit and they are Iori, Kyo, Diana, Foxy, Candy
the ikari team will not have Heidern, but there is a new female in the team and her name is Elen
the hero team: K', Maxima, Whip, Gerald, but this is not confirm of all.
