You're right, but at least it's not another Kyo and Iori.

I think it's that new artist BTW, his name sounds Chinese (HK or Taiwan maybe?). If it's the same guy I can't say I really like his style.

Yeah, the first version was much better, very stylish and all. Have mine on preorder at otaku mw... 2k2 isn't a good KoF IMO, but I want to see how King and Shingo are like in the DC port.

I think I liked the previous version better as well, but this one isn't too bad.

K' is in the front of the picture now thinking, "Should I hit it? ...or not?"

I doubt that. Even K' knows not to mess with what seems to be a 14 year old. But for some odd reason in this picture alone, Kula looks a bit older than she should. I know it must be the same artist(as the ones doing the DC covers, as of late), as it has his signature hair on everybody. But something about her looks a bit aged, like some 6 or so years aged.

However, maybe there is still hope. Perhaps the previous picture will still be printed somewhere on or in the DC packaging or manual. Heck, if they even are nice enough to make a wallpaper image of the previous cover, you best bet I would print that stuff on photo-quality paper and make an alternative DC cover.

I don't own a DC but I'd like to add my .02 and state that the cover change is a mistake.
The pink silhouettes looked pretty classic and reminiscent of something SNK would do. I am a big Kula fan but I feel the artist really dropped the ball portraying what she and K for that matter should look like not to mention they removed Blue Mary :mad:

yup the cover change is a poor decision. Why must k' always be on the cover? 02 is not even a part of the NEST saga...
