VIRUS!!!

A new virus named W32/Badtrans@MM is infecting a lotta people. The virus's not so difficult to remove and doesn't produce so much damage to the computer.
What you must fear mainly is that the virus can send private informations, such as PASSWORDS, to its creator!
I say this 'cause we always buy and sell using the credit card over the Internet and we all know what can happen if someone accesses, for example, PayPal!!!

Dunno if its the one I'm thinking of, but I keep getting blank emails with just "re:" in the subject line, and when I click on it it says "do you want to open this file?" and it has something to do with temporary internet settings. They usually have a file that is something like "humour.scr.exe" attached to it. Just be sure to delete it if you get any - so far I've had about 30 in the past 2 days

Your system may already be infected then. Unless you're running a totally up-to-date virus checker, or a surf guard, this virus will infect even if the message is only previewed.

Don't think it is, as it gave me a warning before actually opening the email that it was trying to access temporary internet settings (which I cancelled). Gonna make sure our virus package is totally up to date and check the machine just to be sure anyway.

I've had a lot of these emails from people this past couple of days that are from this board... seems a lot of people are having trouble with it...
