I Suggest We Block All Access Via SafeWeb...

There is no reason for anyone to access this Forum via SafeWeb unless they have already been banned for being a lamer, or are trying to hide the fact that they are using multiple accounts. I can get you further information on doing this if you want.

WTF is Safeweb?

It is a website you can use to access other sites from when you have been IP banned. So when people get banned, they can return and continue their stupid shit.

I completely agree that people using the IP masking services should be banned. Period.

Use of that kind of web service shows that the poster has something to hide, or some kind of problem (i.e. they're a dumbass spammer, we have a few of those here as everyone knows). Might I also suggest that access from http://www.anonymizer.com/ be shitcanned as well? Bio's correct in stating that many people use these "privacy" services as vehicles for abusing message boards that they've been banned from. Sure, some Art Bell fanboy loonballs use crap like the Anonymizer and Safeweb to hide behind because they believe that the NSA and Echelon are tracking their every insignificant move, but if you ask me, such paranoid people shouldn't be using the Internet in the first place. It's an inherently insecure medium, so deal with it...

So, just don't use Safeweb when checking the forums, thats all. No big deal.

My home lan setup uses IP masking so that everyone in the house can use the internet. I don't think any action should be taken.

Banning the safeweb browing places IP's would not effect you at all. Goin a bit back in history, Neo-Alec banned the safeweb IP's from his board WAY back, because people used to use them to come back after he had banned them. And he seemed to do it with no problem.

The point of using those safeweb things are to protect yourself from websites that may be harmful, that you don't know about. I don't see why anyone would use it at a site they visit regularly unless they want to hide for some reason.

IE LWK making fake accounts, lol. We can thank kyoisthekof for getting him into the "safeweb world". But Krauser I thought you could read IPs waaaay before that? Oh wait you couldn't have, because you used to ASK everyone and their mom how thru P2P in chat. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

First, let me say, I'm kyoisthekof. For some lame reason I can't seem to use my correct display name of Kyoisthekof, of even Kyo Fury, anymore.

Yes, I showed Safeweb to LWK. Then again, take into account, I as at WORK when accessing this site most of the time. Without safeweb, I'd have surely either been fired quickly, or just had to stop visiting the site.

I don't think we should penalyze the masses for the sins of the few.
