To be added in the 'market section' of the board.

Strictly moderated, headers *must* contain brief comment and name of the subject.

I think the forum owner HAS to take some position in the scamming problem, which is growing and growing.

The problem is getting out of hand and cannot be overlooked anymore.

Creating a feedback forum at least would be enough IMHO. Also, any seller would be legitimate to bump his good feedback messages when to putting some new sale on.

I think it could work. Simply and functional.

PLEASE, add a feedback forum, before all the community gets SO untrusted and untrustable to lead the entire market forums to non-sense.

Thanks!

I agree with the principle, although I'm not sure how effective this kind of feedback system can be...

This is a great idea. I agree...and agree it must be heavily moderated. Maybe give some of the lazy mods something to do once in a while ;)

Still, I'm worried about the possibility of fake feedback.

I mean, think about, the good majority (with the exception of a few known ones) of the scammers hitting this board are new members. They don't have feedback, but people are still buying from them. If they don't have feedback in a feedback forum, people will still likely buy from them.

Everyone's heart is in the right place, but I honestly don't think this system would stop these fly-by-night scammers, the well known losers don't come back to sell stuff, and neo-geo.com certainly doesn't want any liability when people are building fake feedback on their own heavily moderated forum.

Just my 2 cents.

What about the fake, madeup sales that are posted to make somebody looks good OR bad? And what about fake accounts that pat each other for a great deal, only it is one person giving great feedback to "themselves." We know who makes fake accounts in this site. Just go to the Sale forum and read the SPAM from our NG.com Stupidass (and now currently in the News section NeoGeo on the Xbox.)

It's unlikely this will ever see the light of day. Others, including myself, have suggested this to Shawn and he doesn't respond. I guess he doesn't want the responsibility for a forum than can make or break people reputations... which is fair enough.

how about a certain post amount requirement before a member can become a seller. yes it would be a limitation for the new guy, but at least its a suggestion.

Again my two cent.

This is called as a community, and as a community should work.

We cannot arrange a perfect system of feedback, this is not a trading&dealing dedicated site as the eBay.

What I propose is just to create a 'dedicated' room to post usual feedback masseges, to to be easy to keep at least an eye on them.

What we can eventually ask for is a stricter moderation aiming to a particular sintex for the message header (thus the forum would be of easier reference).

More than this, I doubt we can do. Guess it's all about learning to read and write, to gain respect and to watch closely.

A sad lesson I've learned on my own faults.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but I agree with Tarma when he says Shawn probably doesn't want to be involved with making or breaking a persons rep.

It would be nice to see if someone has positive or negative feedback type of thing BEFORE buying though...
