Future board additions

I’m considering adding a flash, or possibly java banner for the forums. It would be at the top, but integrated. It would appear to be part of the board. This would be used to announce news and other related info.

Would also like to add the picture profile option that people mentioned in the past. Also known as an avatar profile. This would allow each user to select from a list of pictures. The chosen “avatar” would be displayed directly under the users name, or rank, whichever we decide.

Hey Shawn,

Just my opinion here, I saw your new banner type thing on the forums tonight, but the only thing I would tell ya is I just don't think you want to relation to "superhentai.com". My personal opinion though, while there is a very large portion of this board who is in the correct age group for it and everything, it's still a game related page and I just dont think thats the right publicity for the site...

A banner click through program was recommended before to help offset the cost of hosting. I had thought about this idea but didn’t want anything non-related on the site. After considering credit card banners, music banners, and other advertisements none really hit the spot.

I realized that anime was closely related, but anime-hentai was perfect. This occurred to me while browsing http://www.illicious.net. Let me explain why. Look what SNK did to King of Fighters. What are they trying to sell exactly? Mai was clearly exploited in every way possible that they could get away with.

Yet it’s had over 56k viewers, a success in the popularity book.

I’m convinced that 100% of our members are male, other than the couple females I know locally that signed up for initial support. An overwhelming majority of the visitors are male in gender. Also, an overwhelming majority are of legal age.
On the unrelated forum there was a thread Favorite Pornstar (http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000306.html). This topic had nearly 40 posts, not bad at all. Also, Any good hentai games for Saturn (http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000322.html)?, is another thread that comes to mind.

Of all the banner advertisements I could think of, I concluded that superhentai.com (http://www.superhentai.com/index.asp?ID=3249417) was the best candidate for success. Can you think of another area of advertisement that would attract more attention? I used the least offensive banner on the links page. I found myself laughing as I added the banner. I considered posting about it as a joke, then it started making sense. If this turns out to be a mistake, I will simply discontinue the program. So far, 73 visitors have accessed superhentai.com (http://www.superhentai.com/index.asp?ID=3249417) from the traffic here, and one person has signed up. Anyone want to admit who it was? http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/smile.gif Assuming the person is a forum member. Not to worry, they don’t reveal IP’s.
