No offense to the guys who post in it, but seriously, get an italian forum if you are going to continually post in a thread. The last thread was so long that it literally broke itself. i really don't want to see another gigantic thread spamming up the general discussion forum...and possibly make the entire forum unstable.

You know what i posted about the other thread being too long and was dissed so i just gave up.even though the size of i did slow my computer screen down no end when i use to go to gen discussions. as i have said before i got no objections whatsoever if they kept postng a new thread about a new topic as thats what most ppl do but it fell on deaf ears.. i mean if you changed the topic of a thread you started in gen discussions starting of about introducing your self and then changed it every day it would have been locked ages ago....oh well,. who am i to say i'm just a pawn in a chess board..only difference is no one fucking controls me...hehe :)

They kept it to one thread and that was pretty sincere of them. I don't think they need their own forum for posting non-english stuff, even if some of it is just spam.

It's pretty obvious the Italian thread has a 'spam rate' (or 'off topic rate') which is higher than the rest of the General Discussion board.

This is because all the posters there are 'closer' to each other in both in local culture and actual distance, thus knowing each other someway quite closely (chatting also by phone, or meeting for gaming sessions) and talking/kidding/flaming together as a group of friend sometimes.

Anyway, I won't say all the contents of the thread are totaly NeoGeo unrelated and spammish.

If we Italians meet-up here and not elsewhere is because we're anyway sharing iterest in the NEoGeo, and this stay as a common background/basis in our someway 'out-boardind' talking.

I just feel the Italian thread as a little 'branch' of the main Neo-Geo board... as a Little Italy in a global village. :)

I don't think the 'Italian' threads are hurting anybody.

If they are becoming too big and causing some sort of instability, can't the mods just close them and a new thread be started?

They only wanna play "important" by pulling out threads with "chat-room" attitude.

Maybe they want to come into the Guinness Book, who knows.

It looks annoying, but just ignore it. Big Threads do not make importance and they will maybe figure that out as well as they will figure ou the sense of a chat-room.

That thread is far away from a record setter. I'm working on a thread with over 10,000 posts currently.

i dont see it doing any harm, let them carry on if it makes them happy.

If anyone gets to curious about what is being said and would like to join in there a load of language translations on the net that you can use.

Not that i would do that.

I just choose to ignore these, if its for italians only then i stay away :)

same with the french and any others :)
