How about adding a high score page where members could pitch their high scores against other members,You could have a league table for the top 20 scores of each game.and each member can only put their highest score for each game only once so as they dont dominate all top 20 places they would only have their highest scores on show.Obviously you could take photo's of your high score for proof & email them to the non believers.It would give good reason to dust of your old carts for a challenge.

I'm all in favour of this. Competition is the best aspect of video games. By the way, as some games are too rare on home cartridge for us all, as well as others never making it home, would NeoRAGEx/MAME snapshots of high scores be acceptable, should this develops into something?

Would we post screen shots or something like that to prove it? I know people claim to have finished Magician Lord on one credit!!! So hard to believe, since I cant beat it with unlimited credits, Dang!

That Magician Lord Is one Frustrating Game,Although I found the CD version Way Easier Than the Cart version..So if there where to be a high score record table,Then there would have to be a Record of which version you played & what level setting you had it on,
Having a high score Table would give people great excuse to dust of them old carts which have been on their shelf for ages...

well,
after about 2 weeks spent with it
as in sleepin eating and breathin ml

i bought my ng back in '90 with that game and nam 75

i wa 12 back then
fuckin penniless

so i was stuck for like ages with them 2 games,couldnt afford new ones

so that was it for me

every now and then,
i still put on ML

and after about 20 mins i turn the neo off,
remove the cart from the slot and say to meself:
fuck i was a right nutter,this stupid game's too hard

i do believe that if i wanted i still might be able to do it

i simply cant be arsed nowadays,
but yeah....

I owned that damn game for 3 years, I still can't get past level 6. Hell, It took months to get past level 5.

I guess it would have to be screen shots, or high quality pictures of the TV screen with a digital camera or something like that. Unless one happens to be in Europe, where better options are available. Anyhow I hope this comes to pass.
