Add page numbers to most recent post

When you are browsing the board menu, looking at News & rumors, General Discussion, etc......You know how there is a link to the right with the most recent post and who made it? Is there a way to make it so it displays the little "1, 2" next to it so i can jump to the actualmost recent post? If you just click the link it always takes you to the first page, and it defeats the purpose of quick-linking.

I've seen it on other BBS like bottalk.com, and psotakus.com Can it be done here?
