Shawn, I don't know if you had read on the forums, but I will be dead within 3 years without a lung transplant.

What I want to ask you is kinda personal.

Will you take whatever NEO items I posess at the time of my death, and sell them in the NEO store and donate the money to the Cysitc Fibrosis foundation? You are the only one I know who could get anything worthy for it, and you seem to be an upstanding guy. You'd be able to write off the money for taxes. I don't wanna have to leave it to my family to try and eBay my stuff when I die.

Would you be willing to do this? I can arrange it so the games are shipped to you at no charge, if that would be a problem.

gokusama26,
I have read about your condition on the board, and people have even contacted me about you showing concern for your welfare. You can take comfort in the fact that the members here do care about you. I’m willing to do what you ask, not pocket the proceeds, but will donate the funds to the Crysitc Fibrosis Foundation as instructed.

In the meantime, regardless of what you ultimately decide to do with your neo items, I would like you to accept $100 in store credit towards anything you like at the Neo Store, free shipping included.
Sincerely,
Shawn

Gokusama26.
I had no idea, I wish you all the luck in the world mate!
As you need to take it easy, and probobly won't have time to collect. I would like to send my spare copy of Cherry Masters NGPC, U.K ver. Its not much, but its brand new! You should have a good Pocket collection to play in bed while you are recovering after a sucessful transplant.
All the best.
(Metal Slug)

<SHAWN> Could you please post an address for me to post to, from the U.K?

Shawn, Words cannot express the relief that you have given me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this for me. I wish that there were more people on earth as generous as you. The outpouring of support from everyone on the board makes me proud to be a part of the Neo-Geo community, and I will continue to be until the day I die. For those who want to donate to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation, info can be found at CFF.org.

For those who care, I am going to go to St. Louis this fall to get my screening and placement on a transplant list. If lungs become availiable, it would be sometime next fall. While I'm there I'd like to meet some of the St. Louis people from Neo-Geo.com, and play them in a few games of KoF to pass the time!

Quite ironic that as I read your post, at this time, your rank is that of "Ukyo's Doctor." Here's hoping the list you will get on is a short one. May your sword dance for many years to come.

I'm a very emotional person...I'm truly sorry about your condition. Shawn, that is one of the greatest things I have seen in the Neo-Geo Community. Gokusama, if the worst happens, which it won't because you are going to successfully get that lung transplant, I will donate my Slug AES series for Shawn to sell in the store. Human life is so precious...material posessions mean nothing to me when there is a good cause to support...helping humans survive from suffering and death and letting them enjoy their only chance on Earth...

May God bless you!

You will never be forgotten, should the worst happen.

Gokusama26,

I wish you well, Goku. Words cannot begin to covey my emotions, but you will pull through this.

Did I ever have the pleasure of meeting you? In a recent post you said , "NeoLord
has always been honest with me", so it has me curious.

I will do whatever is necessary to help aid you, Goku.

I just found this thread today, but I knew about your condition from reading the posts gokusama. I was already sympathetic for you then, but I wasn't aware of this. Brother, you seem to have a pretty positive attitude about everything, and that's great. I know you're gonna pull through this, just keep thinking positive and being positive. It's obvious everybody here is pulling for you, and I know I am. For what it's worth to you, you'll be in my prayers, and if you need anything, or wanna talk about anything, do not hesitate to e-mail me. I've been told I can be a good sounding board, so if you just feel like venting that's cool too.

Take care Bro, we're all wishing you the best...

Gokusama26:

I couldn't avoid getting bleary eyed reading this. I'm truly moved.

We've posted in the same thread only once or twice, but I wish you nothing but the absolute BEST in getting the help you need and making a speedy and complete recovery after what I'm sure will be an astoundingly successful medical procedure.

Best of luck to you and your loved ones.

What can I say that others have not said? You have my best wishes, and I will even make an attempt at prayer, although the Gawd's seldom listen to me anymore. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

There are new advances being made in the medical industry every day, and one of them might just be what you need. If not, then may you get the transplant needed.

"The first bowl sleekly moistened throat and lips, The second banished all my loneliness The third expelled the dullness from my mind, Sharpening inspiration gained from all the books I've read. The fourth brought forth light perspiration, Dispersing a lifetime's troubles through my pores. The fifth bowl cleansed ev'ry atom of my being. The sixth has made me kin to the Immortals. This seventh... I can take no more." - Lu Tung
