I agree with you.

And I also think that if a mod deletes a post or topic, they should be required to notify the original poster as to why they felt the need to do this.

I agree 100%. The delete post function causes a lot of trouble here, takes away many entire threads that are important. Allow people to edit their posts, but remove the delete post feature COMPLETELY.

Yep, I'm right with you, Fran. There are two ways how posts get deleted, and that's either by the topic starter or by a mod.

In the first case, scratching the posts may be a valid mod option, but not killing the thread as a whole. The subject/topic should be left intact, with a little note inside clarifiying the deletion. At least that would save a lot of time (and prolly start another why-got-it-deleted flame fest, but hey, that's da game ).

In the second case, well, I really see no reason for this option. If someone posts BS and regrets it afterwards, he should have the guts to stand by his own shit and not pull off delete-a-post-SDMs.

I feel the delete posts is most abused in the selling forum. Sure, that forums for neogeo stuff, but come on! We're selling non-neo stuff to buy neo stuff! It's not like I'm trying to raise money for a Gamecube!

Apparently I missed what's been going on but I never liked the feature to begin with. Why not do away with it? If you post something, you shouldn't have the right to "take it back" in such fashion. You can't delete what you say with your mouth after all.

Agreed. No more deletes. Edit is just fine. Delete removes your comments as well as those of others and that not fair.

Delete the Delete feature.

I also agree, that there should be no deleting posts, you come on to see if there are any more posts in a certain topic and you cant find it as its been deleted, and this way you have to watch what you say because if you look a fool by getting something wrong there is no way to retrace your steps, even though you can still go back and edit your answer to make it look like you said something different as I for one admit I did once to avoid looking stupid so really they would have to not allow you to edit you post either, but then you might have spelling errors as I often do so I dont really know how they can work around that one?I also think that you should only get 1 post awarded to you in each new thread you post in, even if you post in that same thread 20 times as I have seen some people in the war rooms post about 100 times in a row on the same subject just to build there status up!!!
