OK, I know this topic is very controversial. From time to time there is some topic in General Discussion with opinions on how the emulation/roms affect the neo geo world, like this one:

I think most of them are very interesting, although most finish in a flame war.
So what is the mods position about this? Of course any thread with links to roms/emu sites or with questions like "where do you get XXX rom?" "how does XXX emu work" need to be axed and its author banned, but can we discuss about the phenomena in general?
I'm asking this because a flame war is going on in the Spanish topic right now because of this matter. Since we don't have mods for it we need the regular mods opinions.
If you need more info I can explain/translate what's going on there.
Finally, my opinion is that this type of discussing should be allowed, and in fact is tolerated in many topics as far as I can see.
