Position on Portuguese Language Thread:

To all the Brazilian/Portuguese/ Mozambique/ etc. fans:

Do not take our actions as Moderators as a complete and total "No we are NOT going to make a Portuguese language forum." Instead please realize that it took a period of months for the interest in French/German/Italian to warrent solid consideration.

We definitely acknowledge the strong interest in the Neo in Portuguese speaking countries, particularly Brazil (which, on its own, even kept the SMS running for years).

However, the Spam-fest fiasco that happened last week was unacceptable no matter what language you speak. Biomotor had good reason to temporarily ban Atrophyed.

Please, if you want to show continued interest, then keep the Portuguese thread going, only this time within reason. As mentioned, we have no intention of suppressing Portuguese fans -we just need a time to see the continued interest. If you really want it, you'll be patient with us.

It's analogous to the European Union: We've had our initial membership. Any additional members will take some time to prove themselves before any kind of provisional approval.

i doesnt want create a polemique, people here think i try that. i think all things happen here was unfair. Maybe i m wrong.
Only one things ! all french here never asked for a forum, we was happy with this little thread, this forum was create only because a lots of peoples COMPLAINED, and said my thread was a spam and things like that, like for the portuguese thread.
I dont want a polemique or flame, just write that because lots of peoples forget easily.

The new international forums were not established because of COMPLAINTS. They were established in RECOGNITION of our important and welcome international members. By claiming that they were established because of complaints and nothing more, you insult all of those here who supported and encouraged their creation. That I find very offensive. And "ungrateful" would apply, seeing as how you directly benefitted from the new French forum, but haven't even ONCE stated that you appreciated it. mmmm dont remember where are all of this threads, only i m remember seen some peoples asked for totally delete this italian french threads (for many reasons), and seen in a other thread and in the following of a thread asking for a delete ,some peoples thinking about put all of this threads in a special forum where everyone will not be annoyed.
i think we can find the beginning of this international forum in all of that.

That s why i have written all of that !
i think that s the reason, maybe i m wrong .

Thanks for your atention Bobak.

The Portuguese posters were angry because our thread was closed and deleted without notice, not because of the mods not creating the forum!

No reason or any kind of warning was given from any of the mods when they deleted the thread.
It just felt kind of unfair...

As for Atrophyed being banned, he DID ask for it... <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

We want it but sadly we cant keep it going since the old thread was deleted.
How about starting a new one?
With your permission I would like to start a new thread, I just have one request, tell me the general rules that should be respected on an foreign language thread so that this time the new thread doesnt get closed.
These rules would be translated and would be on the first post.
In case we dont comply with any of the rules just let us know and we will try to solve it,just please dont close the thread without warning like the last time.

PS: I would like to thank Stephane, Songohan, metallizer, the Spanish and the French posters for their support.

Feel free to start a new thread. Just keep in mind that spam can be pretty obvious in any language.

Suggestion: If you really want to help your cause, get new Portuguese speaking members to join and represent in the thread. If you can prove a growing interest (as was mentioned in previous threads), then you may make your point faster -still, don't start badgering us within the week...

I'm not full of hate. However, I don't care for spammers and foul-mouthed trolls, which is a pretty accurate description of Cleber. Also, Atrophyed's whining was very tiresome, he basically threw himself out of the forums.

Other language threads were very different than the Portuguese thread, which is why I supported their creation wholeheartedly (French, German, and Italian). Now I also feel that a Spanish thread should be created, based on the many members who post in that language.

But Portuguese, based on the attitudes of the few people who post, will most likely never happen. Cleber, metallizer, and Atrophyed are poor examples to bolster that cause . . . <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />
