The reasons are pretty obvious really, if one just cares to read general discussion.

On a personal level I have nothing against Simone, but he is not the right person to run the price guide.

He is not impartial in any way whatsoever

He treats Jap carts like they're inferior to English carts which blatantly up sets a lot of members

He is supremely arrogant and constantly talks down to people

His facts and arguments are based on hearsay and rumours

He is extrodinarily narrow minded when it comes to the sources of pricing information

His interests seem to be rather misguided and it is blatantly clear that he is pandering to the 'collector' only
Although this element cannot be marginalised they do not constitute the majority of the neo-geo owners and buyers.

He is clearly out of touch with geographic pricing structures, exchange rates, varying national taxes, and regionalised market trends.

He needs to be replaced with someone who is openminded and can reach an understanding between both collector and gamer.

My advice would be to bring back John, but sadly he is already said no :( I hope he changes his mind... it's his guide afterall....

I don't have any NGF sales retard.

I have about as much affiliation with NGF as Shawn... whom I do believe helped Shawn set up the Neo Store with inventory, and at least my 60 carts weren't freaked.

Shawn has nothing to do with NGF

I have nothing to do with NGF

If you cast out all the members who have had dealings, successful and bad, you'd be left with you and the trolls... which I suppose would be kinda good for you.

See you finally spammed your way up to 10,000 posts with your drivel and bullshit.

No, I will not personally offer my services.

As I said, my preference is for John. I think NBM would be a good candidate too.

I feel the same way, I don't think FTL
is the man for the Price Guide really, maybe
for the English Carts price guide but
not for the Japanese.

FTL your arrogance can be seen in many of your
posts, just look at the thread where you
were arguing about the price guide and read
through it clearly. I wouldn't have a problem
with you otherwise.

Thanks for posting this link.

My goal was to mark my joy to see how fans supported the rage of the dragon home cart.
And pay attention:rage of the dragon home cart tout court.
Not US home cart.
Infact jap home cart and US home cart of RotD BOTH sold out and that's great for true neo fans like me who see the system supported.
Of course I didn't bothered to reply to usual accusations.
Just because they are false accusations.

E. Wasabi, I am not on Tarma's side, in fact I
dislike Tarma. At this point though, I agree with
what he has to say about FTL, and I know I am not
alone, I would like to invite all those people
who dislike the way the price guide is being
handled to express their thoughts here.

Well,I would like to know why they are upset.
To spend $325 on a game is not really for a gamer.
The MVS version of RotD is down to $100 or LESS on ebay.
If you pay $325 just to play the game, well it's not common case.

But it's totally right to express my opinion.
Like it is for you and all other members.

It still remains the fact MOST of the games won't pay big bucks to play RotD.
They will go cheaper way.

Its not about the game its what u have said....people do buy these games to play and not just so they can sell them off for more.

People have always payed high prices for Neo games its the way it has always been....you gotta think when Metal Slug came at what $200 (?) alot of people would still think that was high considering u can get 4 PS1 or Saturn games for the same price at the time, no one knew it was gonna be wrth so much they bought it to play.

And i'm sure there are still ALOT of people who buy new releases to play not to collect! Actually we know this because people have bought brand new carts from shawn to play as there 1st cart, including ROTD.

This is not a problem, but just a fact. FTL does not decide what a collector buys or what a gamer plays. So what?

But it is a fact that MVS is the cheapest route, and that if you want to get English games, you may be a gamer, but you will be competing with some hardcore collectors to obtain the games and thus will pay the collector prices.

FTL doesn't decide that. He's just tell you.

Life is easier when you just want MVS.

It's a little harder when you want the Japanese homecarts.

Well, you know all wealthy gamers then!
Me and my friends already reckon too expensive mainstream consoles games to play!

Neo geo home cart games are NOT mass market games.
It is a fact, not my opinion.

YEs maybe so but the fact is if someone likes playing Neo-Geo games and wants ROTD and dose'nt want MVS he wants his manual he likes having new Carts!

Then he has to buy this....and you saying serious collectors should get this the price will go up is'nt helping....if the price goes up the price goes up, like MOTW the price only went up because of word of mouth it was popular it looked fantastic people wnated it they started to pay more but as demand dropped so did the price. Same with Metal Slug and RSG as long as demand is high people are gonna pay high prices.

Now since ROTD has been on sale since September and has only just sold out i can't see its price raising espeicially since so many people dislike it anyway.

the thread u made could have just said:

"ROTD has just sold out, this is great for shawn and hopefully this game selling out will give reason for more US carts being made."

there was no need for the whole collectors thing except maybe a bit of price raising.....thats how i see it anyhow.

That is the funniest and at the same time most STUPID thing I've read in a long time (apart from every post Wasabi makes) - Neo•Geo has ALWAYS been a premium games system. New homecarts have always retailed $200 - $325 since 1990, so what sense does your statement make?

Do you honestly believe the reason RotD sold out in Japan was because collectors bought every copy? None of those people play the game?

So when I bought Ultimate 11 off Charlie at Christmas it was just so it looked good on my shelf? I play that game nearly every week and it's still in the same minty fresh condition he sold it to me in. In fact I play ALL my homecarts, including all the rare expensive ones - and I'm not the only person who does this.

You're too out of touch and too narrow minded to run the guide.

In fact I play ALL my homecarts, including all the rare expensive ones - and I'm not the only person who does this.

You're too out of touch and too narrow minded to run the guide.
You see, your problem is that your greatly narrow minded.
In your head, collectors do NOT play the games and gamers yes.
How wrong.

Collectors do play the game but they TAKE CARE of them and enjoy more aspects of the game.

I'm referring to pure gamers, who will get satisfied just to play the game at the arcades.

Collectors has more than one acceptation.
Yours is the negative one for sure.
Try to think words have more acceptations.

I feel the same way, I don't think FTL
is the man for the Price Guide really, maybe
for the English Carts price guide but
not for the Japanese.

FTL your arrogance can be seen in many of your
posts, just look at the thread where you
were arguing about the price guide and read
through it clearly. I wouldn't have a problem
with you otherwise.
I love you Too_Short :D

I just love this post

Thanks for posting this link.

My goal was to mark my joy to see how fans supported the rage of the dragon home cart.
And pay attention:rage of the dragon home cart tout court.
Not US home cart.
Infact jap home cart and US home cart of RotD BOTH sold out and that's great for true neo fans like me who see the system supported.
Of course I didn't bothered to reply to usual accusations.
Just because they are false accusations.
Here is a chance for all collectors, serious and real collectors.
Its things like this that really piss people off see.... oh_no
Well,I would like to know why they are upset.
To spend $325 on a game is not really for a gamer.
The MVS version of RotD is down to $100 or LESS on ebay.
If you pay $325 just to play the game, well it's not common case.

So you now think that a "gamer" will pay $325 for a game which you think no gamer would anyhow, and then just not take care of it.....

OH MY GOD THATS SO TRUE!!

and i'm sure "collectors" do play there games....but were talking raising prices here, and thats what most of your collector related comments usually show weather intended or not.
