Deleting threads

Mods why not allow members to delete a thread that they posted ???
There have been cases where the topic heading has been deleted to leave a blank, which is annoying.

It was seriously abused that's why.

majority agreed no more deleting of posts

I think there was a way to delete other people's posts. That's how it was abused if that was the case.

Actually, it was abused by people making idiotic/offensive/etc. posts then trying to hide them by deleting them.

The entire thread could be deleted, thereby deleting everyone's reply, if the first post was deleted.

Nowadays a man has to edit his post down to nothing to get that same effect, unless of course someone quoted him.
