i really missed this feature.it was cool.i hope shawn ables it again although the chances are slim.

I think its best to leave it off. People should have a name and stick with it. If you want to change your name you can always delete your account and add a new one.

Aside from being shadey what possible reason does there HAVE to be a name change option? Sure it may be fun but....just pick a name and go with it. It works best. If you're playing Clusterball and you see "Blaine", there's a good chance you're playing me. Any board, if you see "Blaine", there's a good chance it's me. Trust me. It works.

Like Bugula. I've seen him on like 3 boards where I was like "OH! Bugula's here too!".

Where if he had been "Neo-Kevin2k1" on that board, I would never have known.

I say leave it off, but once a year turn it on for a week. That way if someone is tired of their old name, they get a chance to change it for the long haul.

Thats a good idea, maybe every 6 monthes it goes on for a week or something.

Leave it off, your away for a week and you don't know who's who. And besides why would you change your name every week... Today my name is: Po tomorrow Lala and next week Dipsy <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> C'mon itl only confuse people <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

BBS names are like avatars, after awhile people may want to change them for a fresh look because they get sick of the old one. And it's not like people can "Hide", clicking their profile will show you their original name.

Yeah, I kinda like that idea that we are able to change our names for a week every six months or so, then we would just switch it back to the original name. You know just for fun...give us NG.com members a treat...

I say turn it back on to, I liked Using the Name Luca Blight or SATAN occasionally.

When I did this name I didn't realize it was going to be permanent. So I'm kind of stuck and forced to live with it. But oh well, them's the breaks I suppose.

But we should keep the name change off because I'm afraid of all the people who will want to be named either "Weeee" or "Gonads And Strife" <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0">
