Ignore feature?

Is there anyway to set a member to be ignored by my computer? Heatblazers enourmous .gif freezes up my 400 celeron on a AOL 56k dialup. I wouldn't ask, but he refuses to change it. It's becoming a problem to where I can't read the forums because of it.

There is also the suggestions clutter.
That gif sucks IMO.

yes its to large, a sig should not be more then 400x250, that would be the perfect size.

I don't care about what the sig is, I just hate having to reboot every 10 minutes. It really is a pain in the ass.
