Is there any way to make the time between posts less that 120 friggin seconds????? Bah! 120 is ridiculous!!! ARGH!!!

BTW, got this message while trying to post this topic:

I hear ya man, I am also a pretty fast typer, but if shawn wants his boards constrained thats his choice.

I know... But what about a time length that's a little more tollerable? 60 seconds? Jeez! 120 is too much.

I didn't know that it effected PM, too <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> That sucks hard...

I am stunned that this topic has not been closed yet. Every other topic where this was being discussed about two weeks ago was swiftly shut down.

At GamePro we have a one minute flood control. It works fine. Two minutes seems excessive to me but it's not my site.

But the surest way to keep the noise & spam factor down is to restrict them from posting at all. You can't argue with that logic.

No, really, you can't, because the topic will be shut down if you try.

Yeah I know what you mean, I have had topics of mine deleted, usually ones that flame Chimpmeister, what bothers me is how I get burned for making mistakes in the past, but the various mods I KNOW see this stuff don't say a damn word.

The reason Threads discussing/whining about the issue were being Locked is that certain individuals would start entirely new Threads about Flood Control rather than sticking to the existing one. This is not a conversational area of the Forum. One Thread is enough to contain the discussion, extras will be terminated.
