That game looks sweet. And I hate Wresaling games. See I don't even know how to spell it.

The game looked alright, but the DMX song promotion of "Gonna' give it to ya!" just pre spoiled any fun I might have gotten out of it.

Sorry to break it to you Megadrive but that's one of the game. At least they put on a couple songs from both PE and onix to counter that song

I'm getting the game myself but I'm going for the Gamecube version since it's easier to play multiplayer games on it. I just don't want to invest in a multitap.

I highly suggest getting it. License or no, it's still a fun as hell game. I mean, it's a shame that AKI can't get a deal with an actual league (I can't help but wonder if the Jarretts would be interested in this?) but I have yet to play a bad game that they had a hand in (and that includes WCW vs. the World*).

I would get it if I had one of the systems it's on, but I have all the gaming goodness I need right now with Neo SS2 and N64 Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 (I think it's one of the only licensed "Virtual Pro" games**, except for the first VP64 which I think had WCW guys in it)

*old PS wrestling game. Its only downfall that I could see was its lack of a tag mode. :(

**The license was with All Japan Pro Wrestling, circa 2000, I believe, as Misawa's exodus had not yet taken place. They also have guys from New Japan, FMW, and some jr. feds like Michinoku, but they've been given Fire Pro's not-quite-patented-but-wouldn't-it-be-ironic-if-it-were "they're not quite the real people so please don't sue us" treatment. It's a pity that they didn't have more licenses, because this could have been on the order of King of Colosseum in terms of fully-licensed goodness.

If a PE song is in it, any chance Chuck D is in it as a wrestler? I'd play it just to play as him. In the golden days of hip-hop, Chuck D was the black Terry Bogard.

Chuck D and LL Cool J would be the ultimate old-school Def Jam wrestler team.

The line-up:

FunkMaster Flex( Mainstream NY radio host )

Capone( of Capone and Noreaga fame )

DMX( If you don't know who that is you've been in a cave to long )

GhostFace Killa( Ghostface catch a blast from a hype verse!! )

Joe Budden( underground rapper who now has the spotlight )

Keith Murry( The most beautiful thing in THIS WWWWOOORRRRRLLLLLDDDD!!!!!! )

Ludacris( Throws 'bo's )

Method Man( The TICIAL-ion Stalion )

Noreaga( of Capone & Noreaga fame, responsible for "Super thug"(what what))

RedMan( Word has it he has a thing for big women )

Scarface( No not Tony but he's the godfather of the south )

WC( He told you to bow down )

The in-game music comes from them and other former Def Jam all-stars and thankfully my two worst fears of Jay-Z and ja Rule being in this game are thankfully no where near this game which made me RRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY happy. Man i can't wait to grab this game

Ghostface owns all the rest.

Any word on a new album from him?

He's the only one from the Wu still dropping good albums.

No word yet as Meth is the one slated as the next member to drop a album as the whole group looks for a new label( columbia didn't want em since it seems they bought out loud ) I love GZA's new one

I've been playing the story mode on it lately and so far it's like a fast No Mercy. The good thing is that being on Special doesn't mean it's automatic since you can reverse the grapple.

Excellent game, it's just too bad there's such a lack of options.

Also, unlike some other EA games, the Nyko PS2 controller adapter works fine on it, in case you don't like the GCN controller layout.

sweet, i'm getting the ps2 version, what's the CAW feature like? Is there one since they haven't mentioned it

They are all decent, but Liquid Swords is one of the best albums of all time. He'll never be able to match that one again.
I dunno know i think "Legend of..." was a step in the right direction

There's no CAW in Def Jam Vendetta, I'm afraid.
*Runs off screaming FUCK!!!!!!
Reason #7 in the long list of reasons not to get this game. At least with a create-a-wrestler we could imagine we were playing with Chuck D or some of the more talented rappers of Def Jam lore.

I don't know. Ironman was a damn good album and it can go pound-4-pound @ Liquid Swords.
