KOF 98 is my fave OST, and KOF 99's is good too. "Tears" alone makes it worth owning.

1. Loops Of Fury- The Chemical Bros., WipeoutXL
My namesake track, and a vicious piece of crunchy synth and big drums. The scratches are just icing on the cake.

2. Thunder Force IV intro track, Technosoft
Faked synth guitars never sounded so good. Lord knows what deals Yuzo and the gods at Technosoft inked with Satan to make the music in their games sound so good, but let's be thankful they did.

3. Xpander- Yuzo Koshiro, Bare Knuckle II
Ferocious bit of Z80-driven techno by a man I consider a bona-fide genius. No one could squeeze musical magic out of 16-bitters like Yuzo.

4. The Hyrule Theme- Koji Kondo, Legend Of Zelda
Can you think of any other piece that so perfectly sums up the dawn of the Japanese console era? Such a perfectly written, hummable piece of melody.

5. Todo-Stage 1 SNK, Art Of Fighting
Just a brutal, burly piece of guitar, synth, and heavy drums. This track just drags you face first into the savage world of South Town.

That's why that tune is so good in the first place. I busted out laughing when I heard that tune for the first time in my life.

My 5 have to include:
> Megaman 3 (Skull Castle Stage's 1 & 2)
> All music from Konami's Japan-only Famicom shooter "Crisis Force"
> Guerilla War, NES, Stage 1. If I could make a KoF or CvS2 combo video, I'd definitely use that tune.
> Final Fantasy final boss music (any of them)
> Samurai Shodown series, especially Galford, Earthquake, and Mizuki.

PDS has one of the best soundtracks ever. I love the theme that plays when you are in camp (i forget what its called).

2. The "danger" song that played in the original Metal Gear.

4. In TMNT for the NES, the song that played in the overhead map parts (when you run from sewer to sewer).

3.)final Fantasy 4 - Battle with culex
