Well, I've been looking for a CBS Colecovision for ages now, and I found a boxed Intellivision today for £5?
Well, I thought they were pretty similar, although I never had an Intellivision before, so I bought it!
Thing is, all I want is to be able to play Zaxxon and Donkey Kong, which were the only two games I had for my coleco when I was a kid. Needless to say neither came with the Intellivision I bought today! I did get "Advanced D&D" "Soccer" "Astro Smash" & "Utopia" Not really what I wanted.
Anyway, the thing is, can anyone tell me if the version of Zaxxon on the Intellivision is the same as the Coleco?
Also can anyone recommend any GOOD games for the Intellivision?

Cheers.
Metal.

The Colecovision is far better than the Intellivision. Intellivision was from the Atari 2600 timeframe. The Coleco was next-gen.

Intellavision is not as advanced as Colecovision, but I still love it. I have never played the Intellavision version of Zaxxon. The best game is Deadly Disks of Tron. AD&D: The Treasue of Tarmin is the earlyest console RPG that I know of, and isn't that bad (no save or password though <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> ). It had a very good version of Burgertime.
Other Good Games:
Pitfall!(direct 2600 port)
Shark! Shark!
Locomotion
Space Spartans(uses voice module)
Basketball(2 player only)
Lock and Chase

I still have my IntelliVision, IntelliVoice, and all of the games. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons is a great one, as is TRON: Deadly Discs. Bomb Squad is pretty fun, basically a sim where you disarm terrorist bombs. B-17 Bomber was lots of fun too, as was Space Spartans.

I actually got past the 1,000,000 point mark in TRON: Deadly Discs, to the point where the orange guards with the Stun Sticks come after you. I forget if they take four or five hits to de-res, and they recover from your hits very fast, so if you want to take them out, you have to hammer them in rapid succession.

Thanks Peeps!
Bio, I'll be looking for discs'o'Tron!

Fran, Check out Ebay, Intellivisions are pretty cheap at the moment, £30-40 un-boxed, with some games, bit more boxed.

Jethrek, Ebay for games as well, £3-5 each boxed complete. (Less if you're in the USA)

Everyone else, thanks for the help!

try any of the dungeons and dragons, treasure of tarmin was my favorite. i think there was a third one too, and for some reason it was taken off the market. kinda like chainsaw masacre for atari. (i think i was because u could be the bad guy and the game was actually easier if u were)
