Since my Avitar is Okina, I felt that it was my duty to save a turtle in distress today - one that would surely be roadkill if I had not gotten involved.
I was driving down a highway and noticed a turtle trying to cross a 5 lane highway this mornings. I dutifly turned around and pulled to a stop in the center lane with my flashers and high beams blazing to attempt my rescue. Fortunately for the turtle, and for me, no one ran over either one of us. I put the turtle in my truck and drove him off to saftey. I set the critter free in a wooded area away from the highway that was near a small stream.
Note: This is not the 1st time that I've done this. Insane? Maybe a little. <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0">
