DBZ Ultimate 22 US release

I saw a commercial for it last night. The only think I could think was Why? I know the game is pretty bad but I will probably end up with it because my little brother worships the stuff.

But seriously, why would the bring this here other than for money? They already put out a fairly decent game here, why bring out a subpar fighter made 5 years ago?

I actually imported this game and found it to be one of the best DBZ games that there are out there (Aside from the legend of Goku and the SFC fighters).

It is really cool that you get bonus points for haveing the fights turn out the same way as they do in the series. I have probably beat this game about 3 or 4 times (the same ammount of years ago). Aside from some crappy gfx this is actually a really solid and fun game.

Ultimate Battle 22 is a big pile of horseshit. The Saturn version (Shin Butohden) is better, if for the only reason that it uses the split screen as seen in the SFC versions, but still both games suck a fat one. I had Legends on the Saturn, but I couldn't get into the game play (read: learn how to play it), but it looked fun. The best game is the 2nd one for SFC, but still.. all of them suck really.

I hated Ultimate Battle 22. Imported that game years ago and it was such a waste. The character are drawn well, but the control seems very stiff and the cut scenes look like shit. I was hoping this would never be released here.

Those cheap-ass $10 are hard to find.

Not even the righteous Best Buy (which I'm starting to dread) carries many of these games anymore.

Hell, last time I checked, Best Buy's selection of games is getting worse and worse by the month. No more obscure games like those found on the GBA.

Big fan of Legends on saturn myself (getting it when it was relesed in 97 is what got me into importing), but I doubt that game will ever get released over here. Its almost too obscure of a game. UB22 was BAD...I am just imagning it being even worse with english voice acting...least the box art looks cool, always did like Toriyama's art style.

They even put infogrames logo on the damn thing. That must have been a grueling 5 hours it took translating it and forcing their bad voice actors into the studio once again.
