I wanted to know if anyone here was planning to attend the Pinball Expo this year.

They should have the new Austin Powers pin there.

Anyone?

I was supposed to go to E3, however I only have 1 day paid vacation this year so I have to stay local. I decided to go to the Pinball Expo and promptly spent my E3 money on mvc carts.

If you happen to leave near any one of these locations please visit them:

It's a video game/pinball/redemption distributing company.

They have a showcase of different pinball/arcade/redemption games that they put out for arcade operators to "try before they buy". Last time I was there they had

Striker Extreme
Police Trainer
SF3 3rd Strike
Atari's War
Daytona USA 2
Extreme Downhill
Spawn
some poker machines etc.

All of these games were set on freeplay.
They might have Capcom VS SNK on display.

They also had around 5-10 neogeo machines for sale.

Here's the url: http://www.atlasd.com/index.html

Holy crap! One of them is here in my home town! Wheeee! I'm gonna shoot me some pinball! I'm glad to see another pinball fan around these parts. As much as I love Devil's Crush, sometimes I still gotta go and play the real deal. My all-time favorite is Dracula. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to that, but I don't think they'd be able to create the magic twice. That's kinda' like when they made a sequel to The Black Knight, boring! And that was a shame since the original was so cool and fun.

Anybody remember that old one named Gor Gar? That is one old machine I've never seen restored and playable anywhere...

My all-time favourite pinball machine is probably PinBot. Someone said that they made a version of this on the NES, I think. Nothing could compare to playing the real machine, though.

The only Gogar I have played is the virtual pinball one.

I did have a chance to try out all of the new pins though. There is a guy "Sorry can't give out names" who has close to 20 pins in his house. Coincidentally this was also the cause of his divorce. He has Addam's Family, Indiana Jones, Star Trek TNG, Revenge from Mars, Star Wars Episode 1, etc. I really need to visit him again.

There's also Rick's pre pinball expo party. 4-linked Cruisn Worlds, 13 pins, 2-linked t-meks etc. Can't wait!

Virtual Gor Gar? Interesting, was this on the PC or something?

Here's some other pinball games that were a blast. Anybody play any of these?

Funhouse-"Get yerself a hot dog!"
Devil's Dare
Firepower
Frankentstein-only with the Edgar Winters soundtrack selected!
Terminator 2
Twilight Zone-even though every version of this I've played has had at least one thing screwed up on it.
Bass Fishin'
Sinbad-remember the four flippers? Talk about a pain in the arse...

Wish I could've played Pin-Bot. I've heard several people say that was a good one. Maybe someday....

Pinball is great! I'd go...cept none of them are in my home town.

I have a pinball machine in my basement...its really old. it's like Gotttelieb Flying Charriots or something. other than that i have a 19" Defender cab (converted to E-SWAT), and a 19" Aqua Jack cab (converted to a 1-slot MVS)
