Does anyone know anything about this system? I really think it's cool, and Guilty Gear Petite looks very attractive. Does anyone own this pretty little thing? I kinda want to buy one and i'd like to know if it's worth the KaSH. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I almost buy one but decide to invest in GBA instead.
Not a lot of game I really like on Wonderswan Color. FF 1 & 2 are all in Japanese so why bother.

If Wonderswan can do, GBA can do better.
It's only $94
well, you add $5 more, then you can play over hundred of GB titles plus awesome GBA ones......

well i saw FF on the wonderswan...
looked really nice but
if you want it for fighting games
you may want to rethink that...
the directional pad is not good for
fighting games although GGP looks pretty
cool..
its amazing how much support they ve
had for the system..
from namco-to capcom
but it will probably not do well
against GBA
i think i read somewhere that square
would bring the FF series to gamecube...
maybe that means FF will come to
GBA if thats true...

square has infinitely more to lose if the
Final Fantasy series is not released on

I don't have much time to play those RPGs anyway......

GBA is much much better.....

Silent knows his shit. Go with the GBA. More games. And you what, I can almost taste Square making games for it regardless of what Yamouchi says.

NeoGML, you can get one if you have extra cash. Personally I don't buy console with cool looking. I have to check the game library and make sure quality is good. I used to waste lots money on console (ex: gameboy) and cool looking games (beautiful cover art and so on) but end up either give away or sell really cheap.

Now I always check before I make my purchase, especially Neo AES.

Just spend your money wisely.

Keep in mind that many companies start doing multi-platform game development therefore you'll be sure to see FF series on GBA in the near future. Squaresoft isnt' that stupid to pass GBA, trust me.

Well...

I'm an anti-nintendo purist; i do not wish to own any nintendo systems. the only nintendo system that is in my house is an original gameboy, which does not belong to me. I most likely will not buy GBA, since i don't like nintendo's games and they don't have many of the good franchises. If i see some amazing games on GBA, then maybe, otherwise, nintendo isn't getting a cent from me.

wonderswan looks soooooooooooooo cool!! come on, just admit that scope!

If you think the Wonderswan looks cool, you havent taken a good look at the GBA. It mops the floor with it and everything else.

Oh, C'mon. What do you mean that Big N doesn't have good game franchise? NO way......do you see that many companies are supporting GBA and Gamecube now....

Why you dont' like Nintendo? Coz of conservative policy or what?

I'll not buy cool merchandise unless it means something to me

i've seen GBA... it looks cool, but it's so run of the mill.

I think that the wonderswan looks so unique, so different. I saw pics of Guilty Gear Petit/Puchi... i'm speechless... that game looks so nuts...

I want it!!!

i keep looking at this thing and i don't see ANY sites about it (just one crappy B/W wonderswan site) and i wish i could just know more about it! I want one NOW! Since i'm not going to get GameCube, and that Wonderswan color is compatible with PS2, i'm definitely going for one. However, i may want to wait for a US release...

oh well...

gba will completely destroy wonderswan color....if capcom can put SFA3 on gba, which they said was an upcoming title, along with ssf2t then id say its much better, besides, ive never wasted money on a system just for a remake...who knows, maybe capcom will do a portable version of capcom vs snk, like the ngpc version, hum....interesting....i feel a petition coming on...

If you have gands any bigger than those of an eight year old, you will be uncomfortable to say the least. The button placement is the WORST I have ever had the experience of using. To simulate, take a GBP or GBC, and turn it sideways like a GBA. Your thumbs naturally land at the top half of the unit, where the A and B buttons are on a GBA or where the speaker is on a GBP or C. Now move them all the way to the bottom edge. It's not comfortable, is it? Why not just move you whole hand down? You end up playing the damn thing barely holding on to the corner. Very "counter-intuitive". The X and Y buttons (both 1 and 2 sets)have a weird, cheap feel to them, and aren't very springy. Don't ask me how the hell to pull off any moves in Pocket Fighter, I still haven't figured it out. There is only one good game for it: FF1. And that is is unreadable japanese. Pass on it if you can.

Maybe I'm Asian, I have no problem holding GBA. But many of my friends complain about GBA is too small to hold.

I love handheld systems, so I guess I'm a bit biased, but I love my B/W Wonderswan! Got it a couple of days ago, excellent!
It's weird, small, fiddly to play, Cheap looking, blah,blah,blah!
Cool as you like! Great colour (Sherbet Melon!!) Screen is crystal clear, sound is good, it even displays a personalised message when you turn it on!
Came with this bizzare game called "Buffers Evolution" Weird platform race on foot game! Excellent.
I can't believe nobody likes them???
O.K its no GBA or NGPC, not by a long way. But if you like weird Japanesse handhelds, its a must!

I want a colour one next!

I'd love to buy a wonderswan to play final fantasy but unfortunately it is in japanese. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> So that idea is out, I have to wait for U.S. edition.

If you're going for the fighters, then forget it, the controllers are absolute crap. Now if you go for the RPGs, then go for it! Of course you'll need to be able to read japanese. I own a Wonderswan Color with Guilty Gear Petit and I still prefer my good old NGPC with SvsC:MOTM. The cast in GGP is way too small (less characters than in Gal Fighters), doing quarter circles is a pain as the direction keys are completely separated from each other and the graphics are not as good as I was expecting.

NeoGML, I'm still thinking about Wonderswan color + FF II package.......
It looks cool......but I have to control myself not buying it coz it's not worth that kinda money just for few titles~~~~~~
