Does any else think that the rumble feature is the most useless invention ever?

I've never understood the point of rumbling controllers and rumble packs. They say that's its supposed to "put you in the game," but I find the rumbling to be nothing more than a nuisance. I always turn it off right away on any game I play. Does anyone else think that the vibration feature is the most useless and pointless invention in video game history?

In racing games is quite realistic havin' your pad shakin' differently on tarmac, gravel, mud...

I especially like this feature in GT3... very well implemented...

I think it is great for shooting games, other than that I think it is kinda useless.

I wouldn't play Goldeneye007 without my Rumble Pack.

I think it's cool for Cube and Playstation how it's IN tha controller...

But when you have tha gay little rumble packs n stuff it gets pretty pointless and st00pid...

Don't you guys get it?

The whole 'rumble pak' thing was an attempt to get more female gamers in the home console market.

Y'know it VIBRATES...

It can play games AND keep a lonely girl happy on a saturday night :)

Ew! I'd rather not get that image in my head, thanks. "Hard"... EW! Gross!

Besides... who is to say they don't already have that sort of junk in Japan already? (It is the country which came up with the shove-a-stick-up-a-fake-butt's-rectum-and-see-an-animated-face-cringe idea...)

I gotta agree with you on Goldeneye. Rumble works so well with this game, with the different amount of vibration for the different guns and such.

I got my Rumble pak with Starfox64 when it came out, and I didn't think that rumble worked very well with it. It seems the only games I found to be good with the RP are Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

I like the rumbling on FPS games and driving. FPS because It's like the gun is rumbling in your hand. Driving because it's like you're in the car, the rumbling immerses me for some reason.

All others- nah. Just tacky.

I never use the rumble feature. It never did anything for me save for once or twice in MGS, and even that didn't last very long.

it's a waste of electrical power. i hate it, you get hit it takes some section of your mind off of the game; and you screw up just that much more.

In games like MoH, when I get low on health, and I can feel my quick heartbeat in the controller, I know rumble is good for at least something.

REZ. ;)
