Is anybody good at VIEWPOINT

I played it on mame the other night and before you flame me i own the original, check out my collection and you can see it.

and i never was able to beat the 3rd level boss, so i changed the dipswitches to 99 lives and cracked on.

It took me about 220 lives to complete this game, how anybody can complete this amazingly difficult game is beyond me

Has anybody actually finished it - if you have you are a GOD

A member called 'sebleger' on these board can complete the whole game in one life.. he uploaded videos once.

Myself.. I can get to the crab nearly every time, I've only beaten him ONCE

I can get to the 4th boss without problems... and then I am pretty much a goner at that point.

an Isometric pre-rendered shoot-em-up

try and get the psx version if you can.. its cheap

I'm very excited to hear how this looks. I remember hearing about this on Genesis, and would love to see how it came out! Viewpoint is an incredible game, and WAY too hard.

Hats off to that dude that did it in one life. I'm in complete shock that he pulled that one off (and had a video to prove it... what a badass). Nice one!

The PSX version, while looks alot better, blows. I don't know, the framerate drops and you can't even control your ship. You just teleport all over the place (we call it lag online) hehe.... and die

The Genny version, of course, suffers from poorer gfx and sound than its Neo brother, but is MUCH closer in gameplay than the misguided PSX port.

I've got the Genny version. The graphics are very close and the gameplay is great.

i remember attacking this game for days attempting to learn those hellish levels. I played on mvs so i eventually beat this sh*t of a game. Man i remember how pissed i got at that machine. Oh man, i am pissed just thinking of playing that.

I recall the videos that member posted. They were totally legit from what i saw. Truly a jaw dropper.

Tough challenging game play, must admit only played it on mame,its the diagonal motion that screws me up, used to horizontal or vertical scrolls.
Great game, love the music too. Must get the MVS cart.

I've beaten the second boss only once and got halfway through the 3rd level.
The only thing I am/was good at, is getting to the boss in stage1 on the highest skill
