Wow, if I didn't know any better I would just assume this was Dreamcast PSO version 2 footage. :rolleyes:

It's been reported the XBOX version looks better than the GC version (Same game basically, same new menu system).

I hope so, cause that movie didn't show much graphical improvement over the DC version. That video wasn't the highest quality, so I have hope.

Unfortunately with the XBox's voice chat system this means people in the US will no longer be able to have broken conversations with people of other nationalities, and still know that they understand what you're saying. (Although sometimes they just understand the words, not the idea)

The Dreamcast's retarded translator was total shit anyway. I had no use for it. And you SHOULD get the Xbox version and not the lame GC vesrion.

I don't think either one of them will have anything graphically significantly better than the DC version... I doubt that much of anything will be noticable, if any.

Exactly, if your expecting them to totally remake the entire game graphically, there's no way it would be out this soon.

Didn't the Dreamcast version look good enough? The XBOX version will eliminate slowdown, have better textures and lighting, their not gonna re-do the whole game. Wait till PSO 3 for that.

BTW whats so great about playing someone in another country? Have you ever heard of LAG? Anyone outside of North America isn't gonna be worth playing as it is, they will lag your game like hell, even on broadband.

You play on the server with the lowest ping to you, why would someone on the other side of the world play on that server when their ping would be near 1 second. Doesn't make sense to bitch about that. Besides since when did the whole game revolve around talking? You don't need to be able to talk to people during play, to play.

The X-box version looks like garbage to me. The GC version, however, looks much better AND more interesting. Sorry, I already played all the DC levels...no need to get an X-box version of the same game. And hey, i played both, and like the GC version better. so nyah.

Actually, Japanese players played all the time in the US servers and never complained about lag (you really can't find any noticeable lag unless you're doing battle mode)

In fact, one US server was had over 70% Japanese people. They went to US servers to play challenge mode. And challenge mode does require a bit of communication if you've ever played it. That's why the sentence maker came in handy.

Besides, for slower moving RPGs, it really isn't a big deal. Sports games, on the other hand...

Evidentally, the GC trial of PSO has already been hacked. I really hope it's not true/won't last, but knowing what happened with the DC version, I'm not too optimistic.

Well where talking about a game that'll be packaged for free in the Xbox Live starter kit over in Japan so I wouldn't get too excited because you can safely assume if its free, they won't add much too it. Either way I see no reason to get so excited over it especially since there essentially selling the same game that is over a year old for both GC and Xbox. If you have already played it just skip it and wait for a sequel.

And yes your right sonic, the XBOX version is going to have the same new shit the GC version has (They both have the NEW menu graphics in screenshots as well), and it will look BETTER as well.

Voice chat, no keyboard to buy, broadband already in the system, 49.95 to play ALL games for the year online, sign me up. The only reason you shouldn't get the XBOX version, is if you don't have broadband, since XBOX is broadband only.

The broadband and 56k modem are priced the same...

They both come packaged with PSO for the same price...

well, unlike most people, i do play with various people on other servers, and i do enjoy it...i have a cube, dont have an xbox...so ill get it on cube, the difference is just voice chat, which i honestly rather use a keyboard, since i wont have to deal with accents and such...

as for the BETTER looking xbox version...not by much, both are pretty much ports of the dc ver2 only with a slightly more crisp image...just get which ever one you want...there isnt honestly that big of a difference...xbox has voice chat, and very slightly more crisp picture...cube has mini games for gba, and a slightly crisp picture...slowdown,lighting, textures and such wont be an issue for either console...

Kid Aphex, you make no sense whatso ever. Please tell me whats so great about your GameCube version of PSO. I am not saying that I do not like the GameCube, I actually do like it (well sorta...). I do not own either a GameCube or an XBOX yet, because I have more important things to buy right now so I'm not treating it as "one of the family", I simply have more respect for the XBOX than the GameCube. Maybe is Nintendo would stop with their "innovation" and start making decent games that aren't rehashes, I'd probably have a bit more respect for it.

You are simply not even taking into consideration what Drift King Ex and I have told you about what the XBOX version has that the GameCube doesn't have, making the XBOX version better, and this is due to the fact that you don't want to admit you're wrong.

Admit it fool, you are wrong and at this rate, you always will be.

Edit: And yes Joseph, Kid Aphex is one of the worst flame writers ever... luckily for him, most of the people here, and myself have seen worse.

I am sick and tired of having to explain to lamers such as Kid Aphex, simple things such as the reason why the XBOX version of PSO is better than the GameCube version. I'm starting to think that the people who defend something that sucks compared to a different version of it, simply do so because they are stuck with what they have and don't want to admit to having made a mistake. Either that, or just sheer stupidity.
