Found someone selling them, but I do not want to pay too much. How much do they normally go for?

I own two sets of them (no they're not for sale). The first set was $79 (plus shipping), next was $115 (plus shipping).

Both were Ebay, and I didn't keep up afterward. I'd assume they're more expensive a year or so later.

Don't offer too much. Think about like this - if you can find it cheaper on yahoo japen, even before shipping etc, you can get it cheaper here. There are a lot of people you can call on to help you out, like Nikke (I mean, try at least).

I can kick myself for letting it go for 45 bucks!! I really tried to like VOOT but I just couldn't get into it. So I just sold it to my friend who offered me 45 for it so I said wth, no other game will support this joystick. That thing is awesome though, I loved the feel it had.

If you have the patience, I'd wait until Steel Battalion/Tekki ships.

That things controller should drive the price of the twinsticks down as many mech heads upgrade to "the next level" (me included... drools)

I got mine (the mini style, not full sized) for $45 shipped to my door about a week and a half ago. New in the box.

And Kyo, that VMU remedy didn't work! Well, it did, kinda. I haven't experienced a pause in SFIII: 3rd Strike since but it still pauses in Project Justice and Power Stone (maybe others too, I will have to try them out).

So Bio, if you are looking at a pair of import sticks be aware that you may have to hack them and replace the circuits with a couple hacked US pads (this involves soldering, etc). Otherwise you will have to put up with random pauses during gameplay, which can really piss you off.

EDIT: Blah, nevermind. Thought you were talking about arcade twin sticks. Anyway, the news on the half-assed VMU solution should make Kyo happy. :D

The average price for boxed mint DC twins is 100 dollars.

That's if you can even find them.

Glad I got mine new for 89 back in the day when they were somewhat cheap.

Their not any cheaper from Japan, considering you'll pay 50 bucks ontop of the price to ship boxed twins by EMS (they cant go airmail). My 2nd set of saturn twins only cost me 15 bucks, but shipping was 52 from EMS.

Responding to Feelgood's comments- I didn't expect the VMU solution to work, I DID explain to you fully how to fix that problem, didn't I?

I paid $85 + shipping for mine... but that price included a mint copy of VOOT jpn version. Nothing beats 2 DCs, TVs, VOOTs, TwinSticks and Link Cable.

I completely disagree. Better at the arcade. Not that I've PLAYED VOOT at the arcade, but spent very much playing the original Virtual On.

Well Bio, I'd say the price range is between $80 - $115 for new/mint twin sticks.

I bought mine about 6 months ago from a local store for $99 ( http://www.hypergameaction.com )

And hot damn were they worth it!

The most fun I ever had with my DC.

Dreamcast. one word. not two. litte c.

anyway, the dc sticks seem to run ~$100, but the saturn ones seem to be going way down in price. and they look cooler too. ;)
