Man, I spend so much money buying DVD's and games I don't bother to go to the theater and watch all these new ones. I did see Two Towers twice though, so I vote to give all the Oscars to Lord of the Rings:The Two Towers.

I'm glad you saw LOTR in theaters -there are certainly some movies that really aren't done justice on a TV.

There are only 3 that I am certain of:

Best Picture: THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (New Line) - I'm not really a fan but I recognize a monumental film when I see one.

Achievement in Directing: GANGS OF NEW YORK (Miramax) Martin Scorsese - Just because the movie was really original and had a sense of "this is sooo coool" about it. The ending totally sucked dick though.

Best Actor in a Leading Role: Daniel Day-Lewis in GANGS OF NEW YORK (Miramax) - This guy was was pimpin some motherfuckin hardcore shit in this film. He definately stole the show and I didn't even know who the fuck he was before walking in to see this movie.

Man, now I know the awards are rigged. I had my doubts before, but there is no way in fucking hell that Two Towers deserved to be nominated. ITS NOT EVEN A WHOLE MOVIE ON IT'S OWN FOR SHITS SAKE!!
The real two best picture got snubbed. Those would be The 25th Hours and Adaptation. If I HAD to pick out of those choices, I'd go with Gangs. But Adaptation is the true movie of the year.

The only movie out of those I've seen is LOTR. :o

The rest just look so freaking boring. I think I'll go watch Fargo again. :)

Hate to say I told you so, but, I told you so.

I win, I called it.

:D

Yep, Adaptation was definitely the best movie of the year but I knew it wasn't going to get nominated. If it doesn't win best adapted screenplay though, now that would be funny...

ehh award shows = lame crap to me

Does anyone even watch that crap anymore since there is now something called cable or sattelite tv ?

I like to watch new movies but I really dont care about who thinks who is a better actor for their performance.

Award shows = comercial spam
