:(

That's horrible. He was probably one of the more reserved ones out there (both style-wise and backstage-wise). One of the "good ones," as it were.

Not only that, but he was damned entertaining, too. Even with that "Rap is Crap" gimmick that he did with Bobby Duncum, Jr. (RIP) and the Windhams (Barry + Kendall). He was one of those guys who could make the best of a bad gimmick. Like Mick Foley, except without the encyclopedic list of injuries.

This is a sad day for wrestling.

This is extremely disappointing. Mr.Perfect is one of the greatest WWE heels of all time. Though he had a horrible backstage reputation, he certainly was one of the finest ring technicians of our time. This is a sad day for pro wrestling indeed.

The guy was 44, and unless he was abusing some sort of substance on a regular basis, he should be in excellent health, him being an athelete and all. How many wrestlers are gonna die before the age of 50 before they start thinking that maybe the steroids + crack combo is bad for you. Oh well. Their lives I guess.

What can I say? I grew up watching Henning. He was one of the best heels back in the day. I'll miss the perfectplex. RIP Curt. :(

Unbelievable! It wasn't but last year we saw his return at the 2001 Royal Rumble and soon was rehired by the WWE only to be released again. I missed him then, I'm sure gonna miss him now; this is a sad day for wrestling indeed. crying

Wow, I grew up with the PerfectPlex too, and man how I miss the good old days of good vs evil in wrestling. Kurt was a true Heel through and through, but definetly a grounded person in real life. Kurt this ones for you man.

There was some extra posting in this thread (which is now locked), but in case somebody really wanted to read it all, they are now linked to each other: http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=016962

so many of these guys are dying young.
Brian Pillman, Kerry Von Erich, Owen Hart, Rick Rude,Terry Gordy,Eddie Gilbert,Davey boy smith and now MR Perfect.
Wrestling is such a hard business. Some of those guys took serious steroids and it played with their mind and bodies.
