I haven't gotten GGX2 yet. But im enjoying the first one alot, and plan to pick up 2 pretty soon. Possibly tonight. Where there alot of major improvements for GGX2? How are the new characters?

My fav character so far is Jam. I use her more than any of the others.

I'm not sure how GGX2 plays, but I've heard good things.

I myself like Sol Badguy. He is a freak. Especially when he goes into crazy mode and starts flashing red. You know you're in for pain when that happens.

I have GGX2, let me reccomend somthing though. Get the X-Arcade solo stick, it works wonders. There are no good sticks for PS2 and the Xarcade will make the game much more enjoyable.

GGXX is a fine game. I wish that both Capcom and Playmore learn from these guys at Sammy.

Now I heard a lot about this game and I saw it in an arcade. Is it true it runs on the same arcade board as the dremcast???
THerefore that would mean that the dremcast version is arcade perfect right???

Wrong. There are good sticks for the PS2. The Tekken 4 Hori stick like A+ 100% good. Its what I use to play Tekken, Virtua Fighter and Guilty Gear X. If you go to the Key config screen and choose "stick" as your option the button layout conforms to the Tekken 4 hori almost perfectly, all you gotta do is change the dust attack button. Pretty much anybody who plays fighting games hardcore on PS2 owns a tekken 4 hori. The Tekken Tag stick is also just as good.

I-No can be a fucking bitch ass cunt to defeat. She has this move where she shoots off all these little bubble things, and if you have to block (ie you're not in the right position to avoid it and can't get there) it takes off about 3/4 of your health. Then she'll go and do it again.

And you thought SNK bosses were super cheap.

Other than that, the game is fun, but for things like the mission mode, the difficulty is too much for ME to handle (there are much better 2d fighter players out there than me).

Only thing I wish is that someone would redo (make no changes to anything but graphics) Last Blade 2 using the saem graphics engine as this game...

GGX2 is an awesome game, and worth the purchase of the console to play.

That said, it's not without it's faults. All the characters and backgrounds could use smoother animation, none of the characters move as fluidly as say the last two Samurai Shodown games or Mark of the Wolves.

The voices could be a bit clearer too, the samples sound muddy and can be hard to understand.

If these two issues were addressed, the game would be a perfect 10 in my book.

I too have that Tekken 4 hori stick.I like the GGXX stick but when i switch to play CvS2 or the other fighting games(Tekken), its not as good. The middle button(Mk) is missing for the capcom fighting games. The stick is perfect for a game like GGX/XX but not the other fighting games that rely on more buttons. The button layout is weird. But on the plus side, the stick also fits any KOF games!
KOF games uses 4 buttons.See below.

GGXX is awesome. My best character, Chipp, plays a lot better this time around with the few new moves he has. False Roman Cancels are a fun addition and the new characters are all cool. Tons and Tons of extras. This game rocks.

I use a different Hori stick other than the Tekken one for fighters on the psx/2. It has a great feel and a more generic layout so you can play any fighting game no problems. A bit older and less stylish than the newer Hori sticks but it has a great feel.
This is the stick.

That one isn't mine but it's the same model.
Definately one of the best sticks I have used.

Guilty Gear XX stands as one of the finest fighters to date. I've had mine since the day it came out in Japan, and I am still loving it like it was new!

I have some students who dig the game as well, and I'm actually teaching them to play tunes like "Holy Orders" and "Meet Again". Yes, I can play lot's of the GG tunes, which ranks me as a total DORK!!! buttrock buttrock buttrock

What an amazing series. They just keep improving too. Here's hoping the next one supports netplay. Also, on a side note check out Guilty Gear X Advance. It's actually quite good for a portable version, and a steal at $14.99. I grabbed that and KOF for GBA for $30.

That's what I'm using to play the game too, it's a great stick and fairly inexpensive too.

I got mine off of ebay a couple years ago for $15. One of the best deals I've ever got. They pop up on ebay every once in a while for about $20-30 usually. You're best bet is to watch for them there.

Same here...but I still have to work it in...the stick sometimes does not want to dash when I want it to....

Oh wel..I guess that's a great excuse to play more... :D
