I've played this game many years ago.. and I would like to know the title of it.. Hopefully someone here can help me...

It's a Robot Turn-based RPG, but it has Robotech style robot fighters. You move your robots on a Warhammer Style pentagon grid. When you engage in battle you can choose to do all sorts of things and it actually shows them doing it. i.e. If you choose your huge Ion Cannon gun it shows your Character Lock and Load then fire. You can also choose a sword type weapon and other things.

Just a walk down memory lane. It was really fun to just watch the action sequences.

When a giant-robot-rpg is mentioned,of course FRONT MISSION is the first game which springs to my mind... ;)

..if it weren't for that pentagon-grid-thing!

Beats me.. <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

Well, yeah Front Mission does spring to mind, but I imagine it's probably not that one, since it's a fairly weel know SF game.

From your description of the game, it sounds pretty damn cool, and if it's not Front Mission, I wanna play it.

Nope it's not Front Mission <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

It was one of the first games to come out on the Super Famicon I believe.

The Battle secens are awsome nothing beats the huge Ion Canon gun that blows a whole through the other robot. It is very detailed in the battles, but it's always 1 vs. 1.
For me it is 1 of the best ever games I've played. Wish I knew japanese <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />
