Can't find the auction right now, but there's always that one guy running the auction where he's willing to come to your house eat your food, drive your car and w00p your ass. Maybe he'd go there instead.

Or you could just try something on here:

Why would he want $75 for a negative that he deserved?

Or the better question is why would you pay him?

You purchased the item on Feb. 4th and promptly paid via paypal. After that you received no confirmation of payment or email contact from this guy? If that is correct, then while I can sympathize with your frustration, I think your response was a bit severe. I can understand leaving a negative feedback if a good period of time has passed (i.e. a purchase made on December 4th or January 4th). Afterall, you have 90 days for which to leave the feedback.

In the future (and even in this case), I would go through ebay to get the sellers contact info. This will include a telephone number. If it is wrong, look his number up on the internet or ask someone in the area to look his address and phone info up. Basically, try everything you can to get in contact with the guy. Who knows, maybe his email (or your email) is flaky or he had an emergency and was unable to communicate for a few days?

Once you leave a negative feedback you change the entire tone of the business relationship and it is difficult to go back.

I agree with Carlson. 2/4/03? It's now just 2/9/03. That's way too short a period to be jumping to any conclusions.

I would have given him at least one more week. At least. Usually I wait one month...

No, this is not the case, upon winning the auction (and gloating to friends) I became aware this spoiler WILL NOT FIT and that the description is COMPLETELY false! And afer no contact and a faulty description I freaked. Needless to say, this situation is very sour..

How did you become aware that it would not fit, may I ask?

When did you find out about the auction?

Did you bother to ask the seller some questions before bidding?

In the end, once you bid you're in a contract man. I hate to sound like the law or some shit, but once you bid you commit yourself. That's why eBay's no game. It can be dangerous if you don't do your homework ahead of hand so to speak.

Read everything carefully, look at the pics, sleep on it, email the seller if need be... do everything you gotta do before placing a bid.

If it was a faulty description, you should have caught that before bidding, no? We need more info on this situation...

I'm told by many f-body experts I've been scammed. As I do not have the spoiler I can't confirm, but these guys arn't lying and know what they are talking about crying

It sounds to me like you jumped the gun, on the purchase, and on the negative feedback. If you were interested in purhcasing some gaudy addition to your car, you should find out if it fits before you bid, and if you found out it wasn't the right part, email the guy and see if he is willing to let you get off without paying, or let your pay his ebay fees.

This really doesn't sound like a case of someone intentionally scamming you it's in the pictured condition and he gave the GM part number, and he was willing to ship that part to you, right? Way to ruin any chance of negotiating with this guy by slapping a scammer label on him, hell, you're the first person to place a negative on him, and it looks like he sells a lot of these. It sounds like you moved too hastily and are trying to save face by playing the victim. Way to go.
