NTM has been my fave golf game since it came out nothing came close to the simplicity and yet was tough to master....untill now.
First of all most people would be put off because
A: Its an EA game
B: Its PGA has'nt been good since the Megadrive games ( IMO anyway )
And
C: its an EA game
If i had not played this at a friends i would never EVER dreamed of buying it, but luckily i did.
My friend got it on his Xbox and was raving about how good it was and i was like yeah yeah whatever, untill i got to play.
Everything about this game is awesome from the Matrix Style Drives ( yep we got bullet time golf swings ) to the Analogue swing system, no more circle's where u hit the button at the top and then again at the bottom, the club moves when you move the analogue stick, so you can get the MOST accurate shots ever! Its easy and fun to use but not so easy that you breeze through the game, far from it.
Now i know alot of us have Clashing Music tastes but you'll have to admit its cool to have Metal and Punk tunes on a Golf game! Yep we got bands like Saliva and Silver Chair, With a couple of punky/poppy songs by Ash and Boy Sets Fire on a golf game and its fits soooooooo well!!
There are also an abundance of game modes from simple Stroke Play, Match Play, Skins to T.I.G.E.R a golf version of Horse, and Speed Golf which is 2 player split screen where its the first to finish the hole, and its real speed golf, when you hit you ball you don't get magically transported to the ball nope you have have move and tap buttons as fast you can to run to the ball!! This mode had me and my dad in tears laughing
Theres also a Career Mode where you can unlock 27 Extra Golfers, New Club Heads, Gloves and build your Attributes.
Of course i have learned all of this because after i came home from my friends house i ordered it for my GC that night and have'nt stopped playing it for the last few days, and in multiplayer i doubt i ever will!
So GET THIS GAME!! It really is better than NTM ( Ducks Flames ) Sorry but it is.
