I LOOOOVE this damn game, and I can't hold it back any longer. I know just about everyone on the planet hates this game, but I don't care. This game, and the third one in particular, is just awesome, in my eyes. I love the characters, music, animation, fighting engine, EVERYTHING. I don't care who hates it, because I just love the damn thing.

Why do I post this all the sudden, and in such a fanatical way? Well, because I've been playing it for the last two days on my DC, and cannot get enough of it. I bought it when it came out in Japan, and pick it up now and then to this day. Oh yeah, love the game in case anyone couldn't tell. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

I like Third Strike. Awesome animation, lots of characters (even though some are just plain weird), great music and playability.

Only thing I hate is Gill... What a turd.

LOL... Gill's a big jerk, that's for sure.

I'll tell you what, some of my favorite characters in fighting games come from Third Strike. Makoto, Dudley, Alex, Yun and Yang, Elena, Q and Necro. The moves are just so well done, and of course the characters are cool, too.

Oh well, I'll stop slobbering all over this game, already. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

I sold Street Fighter III Double Impact to get this game when it first came out in Japan.
I love the intro.......very cool

Ya know what, Spike? I love this damn game too!!! I'm planning to get 3rd Strike as soon as possible (I now have only Double Impact). Beautiful graphics, character charisma, cool moves.. and best of all the Car Mashing Bounus from SF2!!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I can't wait to get it on my DC <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> ... but with CvS2, MoTW and LB2 coming along... I'll sure have a tough decision on choosing which one will be my next game.

This by far one of the best SF games around(the parry system is my favourite,I have parrying competitions on on who can parry ALL of Chun Li's 2nd SA,kick by kick.I think I told this to Batsu_Power)

Well Spike seems like you and I both like using Mokoto and Dudley(out of everyone I can play these two are my best).You got any good combos for the two?If you need any just ask me and I'll see if one my SF3 masters have any for you

I can combo the hell out of anyone with Dudley, that's for sure. I'm having problems with Makoto, however! I'm not sure what to do with her choke hold grab, but I would assume you can do something good with it, no? It seems that all her moves have such a delay that I wouldn't be able to do much but super the opponent, or do a quick version karate chop. Other than that, I'm really sort of stuck!

Dudley on the other hand... don't get me started with him! He's the best for combos in the game, if you ask me.

From what I watched from the reviews and videos of 3rd Strike... I've heard that Q is bad ass fighter! I even saw the Japanese using him and winning a 3rd Strike tourney against the Americans! (Told that to hebretto once).

Anyways.. Urien in 3rd Strike is a Juggle fest!!! I've watched a couple of videos from the white-tower and gamingmatrixonline.com and saw the wonders of the thong wearing fighter.

Anyway.. I'm still excited to get it real soon! (Hopefully)

Third strike is still one of my favorite games to date. I love the new style of Chun Li.

Well damn, I was expecting to get an earfull of how much it sucks! I'm so used to people not liking it (for reasons completely unknown to me), and so I figured I'd get the same. I love the game, and I'm glad there's others that do, too!

IT SUCKS! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> Not really, I like it too. Not my favourite game in the SF series though, I would have to say that SF II C.E. gets that distinction.

3rd strike is a powerful game. compared to the other capcom fighters (SSF2T, ALPHA2G,CVS) I suck at it, bit i still love it. ken has never looked better than he does in 3rd strike. awesome music too, capcom's best since the sf2 series.

Seeing as SSF2X is my favourite SF game, its kinda natural for me to love SF3 third strike... even though I didn't get that much from the first two versions of SF3. BTW Q is a total b@st@rd when played right... for a big guy, he can be hard to get near, and is really quick. Brilliant music too.

As for 3rd Strike, I have a comment and two newsbytes if you will.....

1. It's a cool game

2. Gill is a motherfucking Neo Dio rip-off and a poor one at that.

3. Twelve is a motherfucking Neo Geegus rip-off, but he's not so bad....

Love this game. Animation is top-notch, characters are interesting, and "this game is twice as hard, you see that with your own eyes" <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

Q is a major player. Pretty slow and simple, but devastatingly powerful.

One of my favorites is Elana. I like the flow of her moves, her healing super, and she's nice on the eyes too <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Chun Li is a bitch in 3s.Anyone ever just done her back + HP against any jumping opponents or her stomp in the corner?Try it at home,else you'll be called cheap by other players(you can beat Gill by just using back + HP)

As for Q,he is a good character but he's just so damn easy to juggle...

I love everything about the game:animation,gameplay,music,everything.I just hate the fact that the CPU IS TOO DAMN CHEAP!!!even on Lv1 difficulty.Plus I wish there were more sites about this game with the artwork and character sketches.

I don't hate 3rd Strike. I just hate the red parries and how certain characters like Ibuki, Sean, Yun, etc. got raped as far as improvements went. I've liked all the SF3 games. they're cool games. I prefer SF3 over SF2 any day (Save the Super SF2 games).

You guys don't know how happy I was returning back from Egypt last summer and learning that Capcom has released both Double Impact and 3rd Strike for us Americans. I picked them up without any hesitation. As far as 3rd Strike goes, I think it's one of the best fighters out there. It's a must have for any fighting game enthusiast and DC owner. The graphics are phenomenal, and the music sublime. I also love the new characters - Q, and Makoto. I especially like Makoto because she uses authentic Karate techniques, and is powerful. Not to mention that she's cute as anything. Akuma is also awesome and I'm glad he returned. He's my favorite character and I like his new look minus the in game face - it looks like he has a huge schnozz. Spike is definetly a genuine 2D fighting fan in having these emotions for this superb game. I LOOOOVE the Dreamcast!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
