Looks very promising I hope it comes out soon.
Brad Burns might replace Vanessa Lewis as my favorite. Goh Hinagami looks like a brother to Yamazaki or something. The new modes( Mission and Quest) also gives the game greater replay value. Also some of the stages were updated. (Different time of day.) New items are also present. Lei-Fei with hair!!!

I'm am super excited about this game!! It seems like Sega AM2 is starting to have much nicer and different looking character designs than before. If comes over the the west(i really hope it does) maybe it will appeal more to a western audience and i hope it does cuz i'm tired of me and 4 other friends being the only ones who play it around my area.

I wonder what system this game will be ported to. Probably the Xbox since its the most powerful of the 3.

Whoa i looked at some more pictures and it seems as if Sega AM2 tried to copy tekken a bit when they made Brad and Goh if you know what i mean. Brad looks like Steve Fox with black hair and Goh looks like Jin with a sleeveless hoody with no undershirt.

Brad uses kickboxing and Steve uses Boxing. Goh uses Judo and Jin uses Classic Karate. Man the similarities are there. Even though they are inspired by Steve and Jin they still look badass. Once i saw more pix I was even more ready to play this damn game. Too bad its only in japan for now. Dammit.

I went to IGN and even they thought that they looked out of place in VF and looked like they were from tekken. But hey thats a good thing cuz Tekken has Good character designs and hopefully since Brad and Goh look badass that more people will stop overlooking VF cuz VF deserves more respect.

Anyway here is a link to the rest of the pix for VF EVO.

Naaaaah Magic box is like a big fat Rumor Factory. i wouldn't believe anything they say. Of Course i'd be happy with a Gamecube version(i love Nintendo) i just don't think it would happen. that would just be too good to be true.

Yeah they definately don't look like regular VF characters, VF characters tend to look very much like the style that they use, and yet if you told me they were having a judo guy in VF i would NEVER expected him to loook like Goh!!

This game is gonna be running on XBOX arcade hardware (pretty sure it's the same board HOTD 3 is running on). Guess where it's coming too? :D

POS 2 left out in the cold, ouch. Gamecube and XBOX are the only systems that can do arcade perfect VF 4...

A POS2 version wouldn't look any better than VF4 already looks, so it would be quite pointless to release with just 2 new characters and the same graphics, unless they purposly want to downgrade it..

Sweetness! I can't wait to dig in (I may just have to rent VF4 for the PS2 just to tide me over). If there's one hidden extra that should be added, it should be Goh's missing teeth (see up-close shot of Goh above).

hehe those 2 new characters look very tekken I have to say, vf character designs have always looked traditional, like a ninja, drunken master, sumo, karate etc.

they look bad ass though.

Actually Boh looks kinda like Batsu from Project Justice.

It'll more likely be on the PS2, X-box, and Gamecube
Looks like it'll be a promising upgrade though

ive always been a bit more into VF then things like tekken....VF and soul edge were the games that actually made me give 3d fighters a chance, though i can say that aside from VF and soul games i really havent been impressed with much else....i was pleased with VF4, more so then with 3 for sure...i think the original VF4 ran on naomi hardware, which seemed hard enough on the ps2, this one has been confirmed to be running on naomi 2 hardware...(maybe VF4 did run on naomi 2 hardware as well...but i dont recall)...either way, i think the xbox and cube would be top tier for console ports...though im not sure how much disc space is in use or anything, im fairly certain it could fit on a cube disc...the ps2 already has VF4, but due to user base, its possible they might do it anyway....i think the new characters are aimed more to help VF open to the american audience, tekken gets pounded to death by VF over in japan...but here in the states...tekken is the top for some reason...but who knows....

When this game comes out on XBOX, all the PS2 bitchers can stop talking shit, since they can no longer say "but PS2 has VF4". :D

you know people that say that? cause i can safely say the only ps2 fanboys i talk to are always rubbing crap about final fantasy...not something like VF4...console bashing is just stupid...the ps2 does have some good games, and some to come, ill get one eventually...the cube has the same, i just happen to own it now cause it was more affordable and had more of what i wanted at the time...and the xbox is the same as the ps2, got a few good games for me now, more later, and ill get one later...i just dont see the big deal really...i blame squaresoft for all this shit, they left nintendo, nintendo didnt care, square got pissed, trash talked the 64, talked enix into psx development, making the psx a huge hit (face it, sales were slumping until ff7 was announced...) which leads to everything we have now...dont blame sony for having such success, and dont blame microsoft for thinking "hey, why dont we cash in too?" blame squaresoft....reasons above...

actually its running on Naomi 2 hardware, i have the links to prove it. As much as I am Pro Gamecube i'm not sure if the Cube can do a perfect port of VF4 cuz i don't think it can push as many polygons needed to be 100% perfect but if they did port it i gauarantee it would be a nice port(nicer than the PS2 one) just not perfect. I think the Xbox could do a perfect port though.

I also read that statement at the magicbox about what sega said about the Xbox and Gamecube hardware and it didn't say that VF4Evo was being ported to them the statement read

"- In the arcade private show, Sega has also highlighted that they will be supporting 4 arcade systems in their future development, which include the NAOMI family, Chihiro (Xbox compatible), TriForce (GameCube compatible) and System X (co-developed with Sammy)."

It doesn't directly say that VF4Evo will be made for those boards it justs says that future games will be developed for them.

here is a link to the full statement:
