If you could go back to 9/9/99, the day of the Dreamcast launch in the US, what would you buy? Would your purchases on that date change at all? If you didn't buy your DC on that date, would you if you had gotten a second chance? Are there any games that came out at launch that you didn't get until way later, or still haven't gotten a hold of, and you regret it? Would you not a DC at all and get Final Fantasy 8 instead?

First I would warn everyone about September 11 2001 and ask the president to up security in all airports .

Then I would tell my past self not to sell his import of GGX for dreamcast with the mini cd because he would never find it again

First off, I would tell myself not to go for asian girls because your life will be ruined in the future. Next I would tell people not to buy the Dreamcast because it will only last 2 years. And I probally would warn people about 9/11 (even though I dont too much care about this country) and I could be a world hero.

In case you didn't know, if time travel ever became possible you wouldn't be able to "change" the past. You would have to do the same thing you did the "first" time around, or else you would be contradicting yourself, which is impossible (in reference to time travel).

So if you bought a DC on 9/9/99 you would buy it again if you traveled back in time. I you did some really lame shit back then you would do it all over again the second time around.

Such is time, in all of its whacked out glory...

Well, the fun thing about make believe is that you can change things when you Time Travel. Isn't pretending fun?

I would personally do nothing different. I might shop more at my local import store because I didn't go there for, like, a 5 month period, and then when I went back, they were out of business. Oh well...

Acutually if you traveled back in time, there would be 2 of you like in Back to the Future and Timecop. But you couldn't touch yourself err the other self because 2 of the same mass can't occupy the same space. This is the best theory of time travel found in Timecop starring the best action superstar ever!! JCVD *ahem* Oh yeah! I didn't get my DC til my birthday cause I had no job, so yeah, I'd just have to pick up FF8 again one of the best rpgs ever!!! Also I'd tell myself to get VF3tb the day after getting the DC.

This is a hyopthetical question so I'm treating it as such.

I would not buy a DC and wait til now to get one cause now the DC games are all soo cheap.

I'd warn myself that MVC2 is not a balanced, SNK-type game. And tell myself not to learn anyone except Cable, Storm, Sentinel, Magnus, and a few anti-air assists.

Buy Metal Slug 1 when it was still less than $700.

Buy multiple copies of Radiant Silvergun, Blazing Star, US RBFF2, US MOTW, and US MS2, purely for resale.

Buy plenty of Maruko Deluxe Quiz.

Change my major from English to something more lucrative.

Bet on all the playoff games (come on Mc Fly).

I bought a DC with Powerstone, Sonic, Soul Calibur, extra controller, and a memory card. I still play those games to this day, I wouldn't change a thing.

Actually, I just arrived here from the year 2009 to warn everyone not to buy a PS7 when they first come out...wait for the price drop. Oh, and make sure You have a Gamecube for July 12, 2006!! (You`ll see why when You get there!!)

I wouldn't buy a DC when they first came out because I got a new one for $50 back in November. It I could go back to other dates I'd probably do the same thing that EvilWasabi is talking about, and stock up on those games. I'd also buy old systems new and resell them. I'd tell my dad not to start drinking. I'd stop E.T. (2600) from being programmed, wait, no, I wouldn't, if not for E.T. the Great Game Crash of '83 wouldn't of happened, then we probably wouldn't have NES. Hmm... There's just so much damned stuff you can do.

I would have absolutely *not* picked it up. I own 2 launch games (Sonic and Soul Calibur) - Sonic I never really got into, and while SC was good, it wasn't my kind of fighter.

At the time I was playing FF8 and Suikoden 2 - I definately wouldn't change a thing.
